  1. Listened to 1040 for 3 minutes (the first in months); what's this Tanev trade blurb? Rubbish as usual yeah?

^ Only if the upside is as guaranteed as it gets, otherwise make a lateral move for a top winger/center.

Never move a guy like Tanev for anything resembling a question mark. Never.

      Example: Tanev for Landeskog.

Hell, we could probably do a bit better under the right circumstances. Not suggesting this move at all, just saying.

Now, might be the time to move, GB.

CT's stock will possibly never be higher(after the world's). With expansion approaching, GM's will shuffle appropriate pieces to set up their 'treasured-ten'. Thus if it fits both ways, you may very well get a talent like Landy, if another GM is balancing fwds & D.

Lastly, as brilliantly as Tans thinks the game, he's a slight build, who could get a nasty injury from opponents taking liberties. With the quality of reffing we seem to receive, it seems wise to load our blueline with young bruisers.

Take 2 steps to hit, our boys get accused of charging; whilst losers like Ferland can run our D from a diff time zone. So don't initiate goonery, but load up with muscle.

Bah, loading up with muscle is the wrong reason to consider moving him. He hasn't been injured yet, and rarely finds himself in a position to be injured. Plus, a successful team needs balance, and he would compliment what we hope to see out of Gubdy, Try, and to some extent, Sbisa.

If a too good to be true offer comes our way then it becomes a consideration, otherwise he's a guy worth holding onto.
