  1. Those were the days. People can hate on him, but I miss the guy.
  2. @drummerboy already said it, but I need to put 1 or 2 of them up here for clicks
  3. That's why I thought it was Linden Doesn't look like Lu's greasy slick at all.
  4. I read through this thread this morning and saw some fantastic recognition for Canadian bands, but there are a few missing
  5. Haven't seen that one before. The hell? Slegr or Walker? Can't even cheat and read the name
  6. Should've tried a more obscure photo.
  7. I don't watch many Chargers games lately, mostly cause you can flip a coin to guess how they'll play week to week, but I'm looking forward to seeing how Bosa does with them. Interesting article on NFL.com talking about all the high fives when 2 teams traded up for QB's all but guaranteeing Bosa would be left on the board at 3rd overall.
  8. I drink a fair amount of wine, and really enjoyed both Somm and A Year in Burgundy. I had no idea they did a sequel, so thanks for posting that and I'll be sure to open a bottle and watch it. I didn't find Somm to be about wine as much as it was about the ridiculously difficult [painstaikingly enjoyable] process of acquiring enough knowledge to write the Master Sommelier exam. In fact. I learned little to nothing about wine, although I really enjoyed following the story of the people involved. A Year in Burgundy was a little more interesting, but really didn't share much more than could be found on the back of an informative wine bottle, or via one or 2 quick questions with your favourite local wine merchant. The idea of living in that part of France, eating food like that, pulling an old perfect vintage from the cellar for lunch before heading back into the field to tend to the vines is amazing. It's right up my alley. The cameras captured the family feel quite nicely, and framed the countryside in a romantic way (I'm a biased sucker for it), but the movie felt like an advertisement for the 2 showcased vineyards. Having said all that I still recommend both to people who are interested in wine. Not just because the movies have some information about wine, but because wine is a lifestyle and those movies showcase 2 very different sides to that lifestyle in an entertaining manner. Just my opinion. edit: You might like Red Obsession. The story of Chinese wine lovers over buying Bordeaux wines and even trading them like currency while building their cellars as status symbols thereby driving up the price of rare Bordeaux wines. Apparently some of that fervor has recently tempered rendering the movie out of date (it's only 3-4 years old), but it is still worth a watch in my opinion.
  9. Indeed. http://www.ibtimes.com/nfl-draft-2016-contracts-projected-salaries-all-first-round-picks-2361279 Below is a look at estimated contracts for the 2016 first-round picks, based on the deals signed by draft picks of the previous two years. The projections roughly give a 13 percent increase in salary for picks 1-10, a 12 percent increase for players drafted 11-20, and an 11 percent raise for the rest of the first-round selections. 1) Los Angeles Rams: $28.65 million 2) Philadelphia Eagles: $27.36 million 3) San Diego Chargers: $26.56 million 4) Dallas Cowboys: $25.65 million 5) Jacksonville Jaguars: $23.96 million 6) Baltimore Ravens: $21.02 million 7) San Francisco 49ers: $18.71 million 8) Cleveland Browns: $16.38 million 9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $16.26 million 10) New York Giants: $15.62 million Pretty much nailed it with the Dallas speculation.

    2. Odd.

      Odd.

Was laughed at when I suggested a Pittsburgh/SJ SCF. It's very looking like that's the case.

I'm betting StLoo fights back, & it goes 7.

TBay is Penguin-sushi. They've played a lotta' puck last 14 months.

Gotta love that its a final few would have predicted. It was cool to see a lot of the favorites go out in the first round, leaving it wide open

  11. At least Kaep took his team to the Superbowl. He did have a few good seasons before signing for huge money and becoming a complete flop. I'd suggest Cutler or Romo. Better team mates though. I'm actually a little surprised the 49ers haven't tried to restructure his contract.
  12. One more reason to look forward to week 11. That's at least the 2nd time Bennett has fired shots at Bradford. I always loved this quote: "There's some mediocre quarterbacks in the NFL that make a lot of money," Bennett said last August. "You take a guy like Sam Bradford - he's never played really in the last three years, but he's made more money than most guys in the NFL."
  13. Raptors. Woof.

If they can just neutralize this guy they'll be fine:

With JV they had a 2% chance. Without him, well you can do the math.

If they win 1 game I will be surprised.

If they can play like they did in game 7 vs the Heat, they'll win 1 game.

  14. @PhillipBlunt  Copy and past man, copy and paste. If there are lots of adds and crap that you don't want then copy paste in sections.

Some videos can be trickier. They may or may not have an embed link.

Thank you, Green. As always, it is appreciated.

  15. Win or lose the game will make history, but for the Raptors a win would finally be the better choice.
  16. Long week. Drinking beers in the sunshine is just what the doctor ordered. Good thing I have a head start.

If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal

If her daddy's poor just do what you feel

      What an era.

He had some major mutt chops, but he looks like some kind of Lionel Richie Gino Odjick in this vid. Cracks me up.

Love that tune..it's so unshamelessly 70's. The original promo-vid cracks me up. Buddy's got the wookie-helmet, kickin his boot.

Back when a band member could play the jug, and still get all the groupies he wanted.

  17. $&!# man. $&!#. Was really hoping to go to his first game back on the field. Well, maybe I'll still get that chance, just in support of his retirement rather that welcoming the resumption of his career. A very sombre interview. That was a nasty play, and reading how close he came to death is pretty frightening.
