I give up

Hilarious. If I was better at photoshop I would put his gazelle like head on a gazelle body in mid leap with a football between the front legs. Just because that is what I pictured while reading your post. Oh, and I agree completely. For a tall guy, he is fast. He played good in other games I watched before this one, really good even, but this game is the best effort all year. Man can he ever fake out the pros with handoffs. Obviously it wasn't just him though, he had time to make his moves thanks to the O line, and the Packers crappy day defensively. After these 2 awesome games, I may not even watch games tomorrow. I feel like we have seen the best of the weekend already. Ahh balogna, I'm watching. I just hope I won't be disappointed 2 games in a row to make up for today. @WHL rocks: Thanks for the link, that is surprising, and funny.

Christ. Who needs Manning with return coverage like that going in your favour?
-
Christ what a half, Smith showing Big Mouth how easy it really is to cover him. Peyton looked (just a little) sloppy with pass attempts, glove bothering his accuracy while helping his hands catch snaps? Suggs seems to be more places than Lewis so far. Hoping for more scoring in the second half. Watch out if Manning wakes up and finds his game.

Egad. Another weekend of absolute sitting, eating, and drinking. I love playoff football, and I sure as hell will enjoy it while it's here, but I will be happy when its over and I leave the house again during the day. Hopefully all of the games will be entertaining, but I have my doubts about the Patriots game.

If you haven't found it yet, it should be found by pressing start, then finding gameplay settings, and you can take it from there. You are even allowed to change gameplay settings in the middle of a battle! Obviously you don't have to participate, but yeah, it's there, just doesn't bother me. I ended up joining all the guilds in Oblivion, just to score the swag, and to check out some more plot. The Dark Brotherhood gave me what I ended up wearing for the entire game.

Very rational. In all honesty, I really liked the opening fight scenes while interacting with everything. You are right, the game sounds and looks great, (and I am a graphics hoor (rhymes with floor)). Just need to find the game rythym. I am going to give it a fair shake, as soon as I get tired of horseback riding with guns. I probably shouldn't mention that I have not played 1 and 2, and that I knew I should have before starting 3.

Just outside of Whiterun (or Whitehold, whichever is by Dragonsreach) I ran into 2 giants and 2 mammoths. The mammoths didn't really concern me, but I was crushed to death by one blow from a giant. I'm less than 10 hours into the game though, and just kind of traipsing around, no methodical levelling. Besides giants, I would agree with you. Oblivion had levelling monsters as well, it makes the whole world accessible from the get go at least. Have you tried changing the gameplay settings to raise the difficulty? On a side note, one thing I miss already compared to Oblivion is the lack of "extra" characters, like in the Imperial City, for example. It feels rather empty, unless I just have not been to the metropolis yet. There is absolutely no shortage of things to do though mind you, my quest tab is filing up ridiculously quick!

Why would someone go to the store to buy a piece of paper allowing them to download a game, when they could just buy it online right before downloading? I think stores still have a fair amount to lose, not that it bothers me, I'm no stakeholder. And Systemaddict, for the purchasers sake I hope you are right, but new technology is always expensive. I think a thousand bucks was an exaggerated number for sure, but it will be more than $500 bucks for sure. If it nears 700, thats still a lot of dough, even if it is fair value. -
Thanks for the input, I can appreciate cutscenes, it's one of the reasons I enjoyed FF7 so much, but at the same time, sometimes you just want to PLAY, not hold the controller and watch a movie. The originals were/are awesome. I remember playing the training missions for a few hours (I think) and when the game finally began I was all "Wow, here we go!" I will never forget when GTA3 came out for PS2, my console was on for at least 2 weeks straight in a house of 6 people. Man the entertainment was high as the game broke new ground in so many areas, with decent graphics to boot. Now, all these years later, I still love Rockstar, but the GTA series is pretty unchanged, just updated graphics, story, and larger play area. I do not even plan on purchasing the new one. Maybe for 20 bucks in 2 years if I still game, I can wait.

Red Dead Redemption, it's Rockstar, so obviously good. Skyrim ( 6 hours in, hired thugs, hah, awesome) Uncharted 3, just started, why does everyone like this game, I mean it looks nice, but the gameplay feels weird. On deck? Maybe Metal Gear 4? Anyone here like it?

http://www.examiner....big-hard-drives Seriously 2 TB? These things are going to be $1000... -
True that, soak up the slack. Calgary blows another oppurtunity, this one after a safety. They look elementary today. If it is overconfidence, so be it, if TO is playing this good, then BC would have been creamed.
-
Heyo! Hard to play defense when your best linebacker is on the sidelines.
-
I'm a BC fan, and don't care who wins, but that TD should not have been negated by that lame ass holding call. 25 (whatever his name is) had inside position, he tripped over his own Argo player to go down. Weak call in my opinion.

Yeah man, every year I love and hate opening day of the football season. I know it's going to be the only day of the season that all Canadian channels show different games. Lame. Things could be worse though. I feel kind of lame complaing about this on Remembrance Day.

Good on Galaxy for utilizing the oppurtunity... but a bull call in all honesty. I'm not even emotionally attached and it is obvious that the ref blew the call. Good luck Caps. -
I rember watching Harris play in Nanaimo for the VI Raiders a few years ago, I never though he would have excelled so quickly at the pro level. Now here he is with the most yards from scrimmage (as a Canadian) in the regular season. Impressive. Comparitively, only 900 more over the next 3 games to beat the record that Chris Johnson holds in the NFL (jk).

Dude that looks like so much fun. Why is it again that fans can't act like that in Rogers Arena on a regular basis? Ongoing singing at home and away games by all fans is commonplace in European football leagues, and even in their pro leagues, like the SEL. So where did we go wrong in our NHL? Anyways, that's a trip I'd like to make 1 day, looks like a blast. -

This is true. From The Province: Personally, even as a moderate fan of the game, I can see that Beckham is past his prime. I guess he is still a great set-up man though. And Good enough for Tottenham to want him on loan for 6 weeks... My point is that I think Caps fans would be happier seeing a win than seeing Beckham. It is unfortunate for management though, what with all the marketing and ticket sales surrounding Beckhams playing in the game. -
Classic.

Haa. Wow. You realize that clutch had disappeared from CDC existence not too long after this thread right? And that the thread is older than the blues sweep? What are you smokin' brother?

Mustapha Jarju: "I am very happy to begin the next stage of my career with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and play in a one of the rising leagues in the world in MLS," added Jarju in a release. "I had many options throughout Europe and the Middle East but Whitecaps FC made me feel very welcome and the city is beautiful. Recently, I have watched several matches and believe the club is ready to push for the playoffs." Hah. What games were they watching? Hopefully Jarju helps out a bit, it would be nice to see the team put a little win streak together. -
http://abcnews.go.com/International/japan-breach-suspected-nuke-plant/story?id=13218997 A possible breach of the reactor core at Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant could lead to further contamination in what would be a major setback to efforts to bring the post-earthquake crisis under control, Japanese officials said today. The possible breach was suspected when two workers waded into water 10,000 times more radioactive than normal and suffered skin burns, according to the Nuclear and Industry Safety Agency. "It is possible there may be damage somewhere in the reactor," spokesman Hidehiko Nishiyama said, adding that the cause of the burns still remains unclear. Nishiyama said there is no data suggesting there were any cracks, and that a leak in the plumbing or the vents could be the cause. Meanwhile, the death toll in Japan reached a milestone as NHK broadcasting reported the latest estimates of 10,175 people dead and more than 17,400 still missing since the 9.0-magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami rattled the country March 11. The U.S. military is now taking a direct role in attempts to cool reactors at the damaged nuclear plant, according to U.S. and Japanese officials. As a first step, the U.S. military plans to ship 525,000 gallons of fresh water on two U.S. Navy barges from a U.S. base in Yokosuka, south of Tokyo, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Forces Japan. Other U.S. support initiatives are also under consideration, the Wall Street Journal reported.
