I missed the game today because of work. Come the end of the season I'll be glad that we're winning when playing terrible. Usually we'd draw. Did you go down to the pub?

I support Liverpool. I get to miss the game tomorrow because of work (boo).

So there are some extensions. The Premier League should tell them too bad, so sad. The clubs have had all summer to do a deal yet they leave it to the last minute. It's like them students at school who hand in work late "sorry miss ... my printer ran out of ink!".

What a result for us today. We kept a clean sheet and scored three goals (it could have been more). Spurs definitely could have / should have scored, but I'm glad they didn't (obviously). Joe Allen going down, yeah it was soft but then at the end of the day his arm shouldn't have been up. Same at the other end, Dowd should have given Spurs the penalty for the shirt pulling but he didn't. You win some, you lose some. Balotelli should have scored, when he does finally hit the back of the net it'll be exciting. It's still surreal to me to see him in our squad. I think he played well, created some chances, had a couple of tries himself. I know he's scored on his debuts before but I'm not worried that he didn't today. The highlight for me was the Moreno goal. What. A. Goal. Fantastic.

Can't wait for European nights to be back at Anfield, good group to be in. The atmosphere will be electric, I wish I could go.

Disappointed with the result today, obviously you don't want to lose to the bigger teams like City but it's only the second game of the season. We have a few new lads and some who will join the squad in the next game. I wasn't too sure on the Balotelli move (still not 100%) but he's taken a pay cut, signed for fairly cheap and has a behavioural clause (I think) so that's more assuring. He's in last chance saloon and hopefully he'll work for Rodgers. If he does and we get the best of him then I think we'll do pretty well. So I'm looking forward to seeing him play. A plus from today (it sounds bad to say this about your own player) is Johnson got injured. I honestly don't know a single Liverpool supporter that likes him (or his style of play I should say). He constantly looks lost. We'll see if we improve with him being out. Who knows. I know we won't be steam-rolling Spurs on Sunday like last season but hopefully we can pull out a convincing win. We did alright in the pre-season. Looked shaky against Southampton but still pulled off the win (we used to lose those sorts of games so it's an improvement) and obviously we lost today. Like I said, not too worried as it's only the start of the season.
