  1. Lol, the only tactic of someone with no intelligent argument is to resort to name calling. Hurrr durrrr yur so dumbz hur durr. Idiot.
  2. Yep, I've been saying since the middle of last season that Green has got to go. I'm glad more people are finally starting to come around. I was attacked relentlessly last year for voicing this unpopular opinion.
  3. What? Why? He's our best offensive defenseman. Remember last year when he busted his face and was out for several weeks? The D was terrible while he was gone. Stecher, Hutton, Pouliot, et all could not hold the fort without him. He is a rock on the back end.
  4. That's how Green wants them to play. Remember all of last season? Same thing. Green couldn't make a winning team out of the '87 Oilers with his terrible coaching. Can we fire him already?
  5. Reliable? Have you ever had a beer that was bunk? I think they all do the trick if you drink enough of them.
  6. It's one game. We shouldn't be planning the parade route nor packing it in and going home. Still lots of hockey left to be played. Anything can happen.
  7. Yes! I witnessed this first hand while working temporarily in a warehouse. There was a driver of South Asian ethnicity who literally spent 30 minutes trying to back up into a loading bay. I was left scratching my head wondering how in the h*ll this guy got a CDL license. I guess now I know!
  8. I assume that the only reason that hasn't happened is because they're looking to trade him, and a $6m AHLer doesn't look so appealing to the rest of the league.
  9. It's a numbers game. Toronto has the largest fan base due to the majority of the countries population living in that region. More fans equals more viewers, which equals advertiser dollars. If you assume the Canucks fan base is the entire province of BC that's roughly only 4 million people. Typical ratings for popular TV shows are around 1%, so even if a Canucks TV show was wildly popular it would only be looking at a viewership of 40,000 people on any given night. That's just not a big enough audience for advertisers to sink hundreds of thousands of dollars into. Their customer acquisition costs would be through the roof.
  10. Well at least no one is complaining about the refs tonight....yet.
  11. No way. Hughes is holding his own just fine at the NHL level. Give the kid a chance to get adjusted to the big league.
  12. Why is he on the PP? I have a feeling he won't be a permanent fixture there. I give it 5 games max.
  13. It's a safe bet that no one will pick up Eriksson's $6m contract while he is on waivers so it is all but guaranteed he is getting sent down.
  14. Green gave multiple non roster players big minutes throughout the preseason. That's the point of it really, it's a try out. I think this was Louie's last shot and he failed miserably.
  15. I think it's safe to assume Goldy and Erickson won't have a spot on the roster. I'd like to see Guadette stay and what to do about JV, hmmm. In the grand scheme of things $1.125m for a 15 goal scorer is a bargain. I think they can stick him on the 4th line.
  16. The Six Million Dollar Man looked horrible out there tonight. I see big things in his future....in Utica.
  17. The Canucks looked quite good for only playing half the roster. No Bo, Boes, Baer or Miller tonight. If this is any indication of things to come I think we are in for a good season.
  18. Maybe send them both down. It might be the wake up call Jake needs. It might also compel Louie to ask for a trade. A win win win.
  19. I've been griping about TG since midway through last season. I don't like how he plays our guys and he never seems to change anything up besides the line combos. Hockey is like chess, you've got to identify the strategy of the opposition and counter it with an effective strategy of your own. It seems to me Green only knows one strategy and sticks to it no matter what, believing that if they stick to it they'll win more games than they lose. That's not a good way to coach in today's NHL IMHO.
