  1. Horvat draws a penalty which leads to a Knights goal. 4-2 Edmonton now, 10 minutes left... maybe its not a lost cause yet?
  2. I'm guessing Hunter thought so too, because Paterson's in net now. Didn't think Stolarz was terrible overall but that third goal was brutal.
  3. London's trailing Edmonton 3-1 after 40 minutes... Horvat had a couple of good looks that period, one on the powerplay and one shorthanded, but no luck so far.
  4. Friesen played 54 games, I wouldn't call that barely getting any action... and you know the reason he missed time was because he was injured multiple times, right? Not because he couldn't crack the lineup. Plus he had 18 points in his last 20 games once he got healthy and developed some chemistry. I wouldn't count him out yet, if he can bring that kind of play consistently next season it'll be tough to keep ignoring him. Gaunce, Cassels, and Horvat all have higher potential though. Its tough to say at this point where they'll land until they see some pro action - the AHL/NHL is a big step up from junior. All have the tools to be 1st line centres in the OHL but none of them were drafted based on their raw offensive talent so I do think its more accurate to say they'll likely fall in the 2nd-3rd line role at the pro level. But what do I know, development matters more than their current potential.
  5. both of you are welcome, and thanks for the kind words! it was good for me too, to get more invested in our prospects and follow along this year, especially with Utica - I was way more attached to the Comets than I ever was to the Wolves. Can't wait for training camp and seeing what some of these guys can do next season!
  6. Only players left in the playoffs now are Liberati and Cederholm. I'll add a table for the Memorial Cup if one or both of them make it, otherwise it'll just be Horvat and he can be kept track of in his own thread.
  7. Final post of Comets' stats. It was a fun year! I'm now just hoping to see at least one other prospect of ours in the Memorial Cup besides Horvat... too bad Erie's hit a bit of a wall against Guelph. REGULAR SEASON PLAYOFFS
  8. McEneny is making his AHL debut tonight in the Comets' last game of the season.
  9. Erie lost Game 1 to Guelph today, Gaunce had one goal in the loss.
  10. the Knights look like they've lost their way without Bell, Austin, and Stolarz... hopefully they can regroup for the Memorial Cup, Guelph is just the better team right now unfortunately.
  11. Gaunce added two more assists yesterday as Erie swept their second round series against the Greyhounds - right now he's 4th in league scoring with 5-9-14 in 9 games. Hopefully Horvat and the Knights can come back to win their series and meet Erie in the conference finals!
  12. I think the door is wide open for him to grab a spot in camp this year. Up to him whether he takes the opportunity or not. Same with Horvat, he's got nothing left to prove in junior and is too young for the A, so I bet he gets his 9 game look at the very least. As for Gaunce (getting back on topic), if Horvat falters in camp he'll be right there. Most likely he'll be with Utica though, he could use some time in the AHL. It'd be great to see our prospects getting to develop chemistry together down on the farm. Gaunce, Shinkaruk, Fox, Grenier, Kenins, Corrado, possibly Jensen... next year's Comets are going to be an exciting bunch to watch.
  13. McEneny's season is done... Kingston blew a 3-0 lead in the series and lost in Game 7. Had a goal and an assist in the playoffs. Maybe he joins Utica for the rest of the year? Can't see him cracking the lineup right now though.
  14. You can find regular season stats for junior players, European players, and NCAA players on the main post; all of their regular seasons are done so I won't be re-posting them each time I make a new post. damn though, our junior prospects are looking nice right now. Even if it is the first round and against weaker competition, it's a nice distraction from the way the Canucks' season has gone. REGULAR SEASON PLAYOFFS
  15. man! Gaunce definitely showed up to play again. gotta love guys like him that elevate their play in the playoffs.
  16. Rodin's year is over, Brynas lost their first round series in 5 games. Had two goals and an assist in the playoffs.
  17. Rodin finished the year with 12-23-35 in 47 games, really dropped off after his injury but still managed a solid year (considering how low-scoring the Swedish league is). Has two goals in two playoff games so far - but Brynas is down 2-0 so his year could be done soon.
  18. Horvat ends the year with 30-44-74 in 54 games, 36 PIM, +20. London gets Windsor in the first round.
  19. finishes with 7-35-42 in 61 games, 78 PIM, +3. Career season offensively for him, also earned the team award for best defenseman. Kingston plays Peterborough in the first round!
  20. Gaunce finished the regular season with 31-41-72 in 65 games, 59 PIM, and a +25. Career high in points for him. Erie's gonna play either Saginaw or Owen Sound in the first round.
  21. Sorry for the delay on getting this out, I was waiting to see if the Canucks would add or move any prospects at the deadline, and held off until the dust had settled. I'll be adding playoff tables soon! Kenins starts his playoff run next week and the rest will be following shortly after... thank goodness for that, at least we'll have some great prospects to follow during their playoffs since the big club ain't making it.
