  1. I'd be in favour of giving Booth a shot with the twins, he's been skating much better after coming out of the press box. If he fizzles out again, move Richardson to the 3C slot and put Santorelli there. Santo puts a massive effort in no matter the role he plays.
  2. 2 goals for Rodin today, scored with a minute and a half left to force overtime. Now up to 9-16-25 in 26 games, still 5th in league scoring.
  3. Stephen Harper. but wow, that's great for Gaunce. His offensive totals are going to get a huge boost now that he's on a contending team and will have good players around him. Erie has the best record in the OHL too.... complete 180 from being on the league's worst team.
  4. just saw this posted by the Comets on twitter... holy crap.
  5. I'd do Booth for Erat straight up. Both are overpaid and need a change of scenery, not like we're going to get anything better from Booth in a trade. If Erat doesn't perform, use our compliance buyout on him in the summer.
  6. I think your attitude's the problem, not the people getting excited about Rodin's improvement. Just because a prospect's doing well doesn't mean he has to be some "knight in shining armour ready to save the franchise". With the way he's played this season, it's worth looking into signing him again in the future and giving him a chance to simply play here, not to magically save the team or anything.
  7. Hutton scored another two goals today vs Boston College - now has 6-3-9 in 11 games so far. Definitely not numbers you'd expect from a defenseman, I know Hutton was billed as having good offensive instincts but I don't think anyone predicted this.
  8. I hear you man! Good thing winter break's on the horizon, right?
  9. Yeah, I've had term papers and assignments, plus work. I'll probably update it tomorrow night though since there are games in pretty much every league our prospects are involved in.
  10. Drouin's hands are filthy. Can't wait for the WJCs.

Something tells me Mantha is going to outshine everyone at the WJC. That kid is destroying the Q right now.

Mantha and Drouin played well together today, wouldn't be surprised to see them line up together at the WJCs.

  11. McEneny's back in the lineup tonight, good to see that his concussion wasn't a serious one. This was the hit that knocked him out (since nobody's posted it yet). Nasty blindside, could've been worse. http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/video/index/id/b4e710bddc73a2b307d11539151ef15b
  12. Brian Hughes, who left the game and didn't return. Haven't seen video of it but I suppose we'll find out soon if Gaunce gets suspended or not.
  13. Gaunce has been tossed from the game against Oshawa for a kneeing major. Had a goal and was +1 before he was ejected.
  14. He said in an article with the Vancouver Sun that he was aiming to be back this weekend, so you should be good!
  15. I remember Iilahti was drafted by the Giants but never came over to play here... that was disappointing. Off topic, but I'd love for us to have a prospect playing on the Giants again, Bliznak seems like forever ago. He's sitting out the first seven games of the year to make up for the seven he played last season (I think he has three more games to sit out)
  16. I've organized the Comets table by points rather than alphabetical order; if you guys prefer alphabetical I can change it back though. Update:
  17. Hasn't been posted yet, but McEneny was injured by a check to the head two days ago. Not in the Rangers lineup today.
  18. Archibald's noticeably better than Sestito, he can actually skate and has a decent amount of hockey sense. Debatable whether or not he's better than Weise at this point, but I'd like to see him stick around when everyone's healthy.
  19. Archibald's acquitted himself well in his call-up. If we ever get a 4th line together he should be part of it.

Nice to see someone finally earning a spot on that forth line.

  20. ugh I always forget how much of a tool Glenn Healy is, and then he starts talking

I wouldn't call it talking, more like incoherent blathering

haha my mom doesn't like him either, I think its a universal feeling. (KH, I'll try to be more respectful to tools in the future)

  21. I'm adding player positions to the table for the next update - quick question, would people prefer keeping the players in alphabetical order or putting them in order of point production, as avelanch suggested? If they were put in order of points, I'd do it for the Utica table and the major junior table, as those have the most players in them.
  22. That was a great hit. I hope when Booth returns, we keep Archibald around a little bit longer. I'd rather have a fourth line of just forwards put together instead of always throwing a defenseman in there and playing them 4 minutes per night.
