  1. End of the first period, Colts lead 2-1. Belleville will start the 2nd on an abbreviated PP. Gaunce is -1. Tyson Giuriato ‏@TysonGiuriato 21m Gaunce goes into Beast Mode on a penalty kill. Blocks a shot and then throws a huge hit in the corner. Still 1-0 @OHLBulls
  2. Good to see that short article about Gaunce, really highlights his character. Also, the Bulls got lucky... Phil Phillips ‏@FilPhillips 1h Joseph Cramarossa & Jordan Subban have avoided suspension & will play tonight. #Belleville #Bulls #ColtsvsBulls #OHLPlayoffs #Barrie #Colts That's great news for them, if they lost two key players (even for just one game) it could easily put them in a big hole. Game 4 goes today at 4:30 PST.
  3. Highlight of the night: Chara scores on his own net.

  4. http://www.bellevillebulls.com/video/index/id/d12a947408ee0a1603ad2fcb729d9c45 Highlights video of Game 3 is now up. Doesn't include the incidents with either Cramarossa or Subban unfortunately, but it is a 'highlights' package so hardly surprising. Gaunce makes a couple of nice passes, takes a hit behind the net to set up the 4th goal. Barrie's version is here: http://www.barriecolts.com/video/index/id/1366690308 It only includes the goals (and therefore shorter), but its in much better quality. Belleville's includes a few more big saves/close chances/etc.
  5. Game over. Colts win it 5-4 with 5 seconds left in OT, now lead the series 2-1.
  6. Bulls and Colts heading to OT tied 4-4. Shots 37-24 in favour of Barrie. Gaunce 1 assist, +1.
  7. Still 4-4 midway through the 3rd period, Bulls managed to kill off Subban's major and Athanasiou, the player Subban hit, is back on the ice. Graovac is also back in the game after getting 2+10 for an altercation. Very physical, intense game by all accounts.
  8. Things got a little crazy in that service timeout. Now 4-4, near the end of the 2nd period. Graovac tied it up 2-2, Barrie scored a quick couple to go up 4-2, and Belleville just came back to tie it up. Gaunce gets an assist on the tying goal. Sounds like he's making his presence felt, even if it hasn't showed up on the scoresheet in great numbers: Belleville Bulls ‏@OHLBulls 29m Brendan Gaunce has brought his physical game tonight. Lots of hits and competition in puck battles. Tyson Giuriato ‏@TysonGiuriato 50m .@OHLBulls down 2-1 after one period. I counted four big hits from #Canucks prospect Brendan Gaunce in that period. Wow. And literally just as I'm typing this, Jordan Subban got tossed from the game for a headshot. That makes two important players for the Bulls ejected so far...
  9. I don't have video, but it doesn't sound like any harm was done. The recipient, Jake Dotchin, is still playing... I think he was ejected because of how reckless and unnecessary it apparently was. Hopefully we'll get some video after the game, but its a big loss for the Bulls, and that 5 minute PP didn't help...
  10. The shots are incorrect on the OHL website, it sometimes glitches up like this. It'll probably be updated in the intermission/after the game. Shots were actually 14-10 Barrie. Joseph Cramarossa of Belleville got ejected for a slew foot.
  11. Sounds like Tyler Graovac will be back in the lineup tonight - which is great news, they need him. Also returning is Carter Sandlak, son of Jim. (per the Bulls' Twitter)
  12. Every once in a while, I like to take a moment to appreciate the fact that we didn't draft Kyle Beach.

  13. Anybody know how to get old EA NHL games working on Windows 7? I have an NHL07 disc, tried running it normally + in compatiblity mode but no luck... it worked on my old Windows 7 laptop.

anyone know where to get NHL 2004? Want to try the updates

  14. If you think the Canucks have been playing poorly... Minnesota just lost to Calgary. One more point to clinch the NW!

  15. Looks like Belleville's pretty much toast in this one, barring a miracle. Barrie leads 5-0 at the second intermission. Gaunce is still -1.
  16. http://www.bellevillebulls.com/video/index/id/18790517c22e562d5267f987e6d8da6f Highlights from last night's game. Gaunce's assist starts at 2:05 if anybody hasn't seen it. (There's no audio - I don't know if that's just me, but its common enough on Bulls' highlight packages, might be a copyright thing.)
  17. Nice plays by Gaunce shutting down two potential breakaways in a row. Did well there to make sure Scheifele didn't get a quality shot away (and didn't take a penalty).
  18. What a pass by Gaunce. That was one sweet dish, getting it right under the defender's stick.
  19. "@D_Booth7 It should be illegal not to torture this guy. #sendamessage" wtf Booth...

I think anyone personally victimized by something like this would love to exact painful revenge (I know I would). But if I'm being impartial, I'd rather not the violence continue, as 'right' as it might seem...

  20. Odds we'll see Derek Joslin in for Cam Barker next game?

  21. Regardless of outcome, that game did not deserve to end in a shootout. I'm not certain I'd want to face them in continuous OT though...

  22. Sportsnet One's showing Kitchener's game right now, featuring our prospects Frank Corrado and Evan McEneny! Free previews are great.

  23. Belleville's off to the OHL Eastern Conference Finals! They beat Sudbury 5-0 tonight in a fight-filled, rather ugly game and swept the series 4-0. Gaunce had one assist and is 5-11-16 in 10 games so far, 3rd in league playoff scoring. Belleville will meet Barrie in the conference finals, Game 1 TBA depending on what happens in the West.
  24. Gaunce has another assist through one period of play, as Belleville leads Sudbury 2-0. The Bulls are looking good to sweep the series tonight. Oh, and if anybody wants to see Gaunce's two goals from last game, they're both pretty sweet. One was on a breakaway, the other a nice wrister coming down the wing. http://www.bellevillebulls.com/video/index/id/5fb689ca1fc9cc4d56798db03385b3f3 Skip to 1:55 to see them, one's right after the other.
  25. Where's Chris Levesque when you need him?
