35 seems like a realistic number. If he can have a season comparable to Baertschi's first here, I'd be happy with that.

London loses Game 5, 6-3 to Erie and trail the series 3-2. Game 6 is tomorrow at 3:00 pst.

I know this is the Goldobin thread, but I love that you're the resident Lukas Jasek expert around here. You do some serious digging to keep the rest of us informed, I appreciate it.

Zhukenov's goal from yesterday (another nice one):
-
I've watched the tail end of a couple of games but its hard to find time when there are so many other important games this time of year (and real life obligations of course). Also the broadcasts are all in French so they're a bit tougher to follow. Depending on when the Comets are done I'm hoping to watch some of the QMJHL guys... we could have prospects on 3/4 of the final four teams if the Titan and Sagueneens can both advance on their 3-2 leads.

Chicoutimi takes a 3-2 series lead with a 3-1 win in Game 5. One goal, one assist for Zhukenov who now has 5-10-15 in nine games and is tied for 1st in QMJHL playoff scoring. Game 6 goes on Monday.

London is down 2-1 in the series as they drop Game 3, 3-1... Game 4 is on Thursday at 4:00. Didn't watch the game but Juolevi was awarded third star.

Like McKenzie, I'd be surprised if he plays. Especially once Goldobin's assigned, there's no room amongst the forward group in a crucial playoff race and Green showed that he'd rather dress seven defensemen than an unproven ATO. Maybe if the Comets get eliminated early he might sneak into the last game or two though.

It would appear Laplante is on his way up, as an emergency recall... Utica has their biggest game of the year today so there was no way they were calling someone up from there. Good for Laplante to hopefully take advantage of an unusual situation and get to make a dream come true, I hope he gets a goal off of his leg tonight or something.

Chicoutimi ties the series at 1-1 with a 5-2 win in Game 2. One goal, one assist for Zhukenov who now has 4-7-11 in six playoff games.

Chicoutimi loses Game 1 vs Rouyn-Noranda, 6-2. One goal for Zhukenov in the loss, 3-6-9 in five playoff games so far.

That's the definition of stealing a game. 46-12 is insane.

There might be some truth there... Virtanen isn't the first. We heard about Tryamkin being out of shape in the preseason; the Canucks also asked McCann to bulk up which he did, and then he got traded to Florida where they told him he was too heavy and needed to slim down. I remember Linden Vey put on weight in the summer in between his two seasons here, came to camp looking a step too slow and got sent to the minors. Obviously this is all just unproven speculation but I think especially with younger players that aren't yet familiar with how to train for the pro game, more supervision rather than less is probably a good thing.

Only locally in Ontario I believe. But there are always online streams out there.

Juolevi's goal from tonight:
-
He started the year with them last year but got sent back to junior midway through the season, and he's been in the Q all year this year. But yeah, they swept Baie-Comeau aside pretty easily... upsets can happen though! No idea on if MacEwen will join Utica or not but they're mostly healthy now and have a few extra forwards on the roster, so maybe not. Brett McKenzie's been with them for a little while now and hasn't played.

Knights win 3-2! Juolevi's snipe stands up as the game winner! London will face the Erie Otters in round two, Game 1 is Thursday at 4:00 pst.

Looks like you'll get your wish to see Charlottetown in the next round!
