This guy appears to be a tremendous addition and checks many boxes of what this team needed. I'm not sure he will be a long term piece here in the top 6 (highly unlikely) but a great placeholder in the interim. And acquired without taking anything away from the NHL roster. Well done pro scouts for identifying a realistic target and GMJB for getting it done!

glad to hear Palmu looked good last night against springfield!
-
Last nights game against preds was the best Guadette has looked in the NHL.
-
Solid play. Jake is becoming defensively reliable.
-
I believe he is a sleeper. Some players continue to improve in all areas of the game as each year goes by from the draft and JR seems to be one of those guys.

Seems like him and JV are developing some chemistry to boot.

i'm still not sure how we're expected to believe that an NHL player with assumed skating ability and vision just runs into a dman and places his elbow to the head. It's not like Manning had to protect himself as Stetcher had him in the trolly tracks. I don't want to put on my tinfoil hat but come on...

I'm quite enjoying watching 88 compete in Canucks colors. It feels like he belongs here.

Some heavy hits and a nice goal. Tidy game against the Wild for Jake.

Alien

He seems to be shaking off the nerves slowly but surely and showing the kind of NHL player he will be. I missed him when he was out of the lineup against Pits.
-
Petterson and Goldy seem to have the makings of magical chemistry potential. That being said, Biega might look like the second coming of Dino Cicarelli playing wing with Alien.

I like Gaudette more than in preseason. He is working hard and has skill. Excellent depth at centre.
-
Stetcher with a very strong game against Carolina. He looks like he has improved his puck control while skating at top speed. Also a real nice job of walking the line to get a shot through on net.

I woke up this morning and had to check to see if I had been dreaming!!!

It struck me as funny, I suppose. Perhaps I misunderstood the comment?

Two questions: Who goes on waivers and where does Antoine slot in?

I don’t mind the idea, as much ad I’d like to see him in canucks colours, of Tram playing on a dominant club for the next couple years. Maybe when he comes back some of that winning “pixie dust” will rub off on our top guys who have been on a losing club. It might be right around the time we turn things around that he returns.

Sure hope so- it appears we need a few white knights to ride into this blueline if GMJB is to build a contender anytime soon.

His defensive game is really surprising. I had no idea he was this capable as a positional centre ice defender. I have to mention the butterfly style pass blocks, Ive never seen anybody do this before and he is very effective with it.

Best game by LE I have seen in a long time last night. Canucks were unfortunate not to score as they ran into a hot Talbot.

I thought OJ was so-so. I was hoping for more Vs the Flames but he showed not much more than Sautner, quite frankly.

2018-19 Utica Comets Thread
reyezone replied to stonecoldstevebernier's topic in Prospects / Farm Team
I'm thinking Utica will have one heck of a team this year. -
How did Woo lok from anybody who perhaps saw the game. I’m obviously thrilled with with this video clip of Woo dropping bombs like a young Phaneuf, but how did he handle the rest of the match? Thanks.
