  1. The only thing that makes sense for me is Dumba. A proven young top scoring winger for a proven young top right handed dman. I love Boeser and would hate to see him go but JB has a job to do and that is improving our team.
  2. I would consider giving Beagle a break. It seems that hip injury may not be 100% and he is having trouble getting around the ice as effectively as he usually does. Maybe Sutter slides to the middle and Beagle can rest up a bit for the playoffs. ...No way Motte comes out.
  3. Excellent timing Bo. This means he should have lots of time to adjust his sleeping schedule before playoffs 2021.
  4. I think there is an other gear still for BB. He has added some to his game, especially in tight around the net, but the offensive creativity and overpowering release has taken a step back to my eye. I'm wagering he will put these two pieces together during his career and the sooner the better for this fan.
  5. BB also carried the puck more often through the neutral zone and was able to shoot the puck off the rush, which is something he has had success with in the past. I think more touches and being the "driver" on that line will result in an increase in BB's confidence. There just isn't enough puck to go around with EP and JT for Brock to get his goal scoring mojo working.
  6. Bailey might be one of the fastest players in the AHL.
  7. The success of GMJB’s draft picks is quite remarkable. The studs we have seen excel in the NCAA alone (Boeser, Gaudette, Hughes, Madden, Demko) leave you shaking your head and wondering how it took so long to have decent talent evaluation and drafting. There were many times over recent years where the canucks had zero prospects of interest in the fold. Truly remarkable what JB and staff are doing.
  8. Perhaps a niche of gluten/ sugar free for those that have limited choices due to diet and health restrictions? I'm sure diabetics and celiacs would appreciate a quality product with a high level of control over ingredients.
  9. I will have to do more research. Thanks for the encouragement.
  10. Tobacco smoke is, without question, far worse: https://www.atsjournals.org/doi/abs/10.1513/AnnalsATS.201212-127FR
  11. I don't want to be misunderstood, I am not invoking the "Rat" as a pejorative or negative term. If he turned out to have half the career Brad Marchand has had I think everyone on this board would be weeping with joy.
  12. Hogz could have developed this reaction playing in a men’s league as an undersized 18 year old, and for good reason! How many smallish skill guys could have avoided concussion issues by protecting themselves better? I remember Big Bert’s advice for Petterson when Petey was getting smothered and struggling to find open ice last year, “he better sharpen his elbows”.
  13. Build a reputation as someone you don't want to try to hit open ice.
  14. I hate to make the comparison, but undersized skilled winger who goes on the offensive and tries to hurt guys when he's in the trolly tracks or in a vulnerable position.... I smell a rat! (and it smells much better in blue and green than brown and gold)
  15. Weak call. Undersized offensive player bracing for contact. Russia is the consensus heaviest team at this tournament and Hogz is protecting himself.
  16. The "goalie graveyard" nickname started long before Luongo. After McLean left the Canucks couldn't find a quality and consistent net minder for years until Luongo came on the scene. There was a revolving door of has beens, minor leaguers and "goalies of the Future" that never panned out or couldn't find traction. This history highlights how brilliant it was of JB to bring in Ryan Miller as his first order of operation when becoming GM. As bad as those times were for our "retooling" team, it would have been vastly worse without Millers steady veteran presence back there.
  17. I have a hunch that Motte could end up being a player that moves up the lineup as his career progresses. He has all the tools (forecheck, physical play, above average skating, shot) to be a nice complimentary player that can fit with other skilled guys on a scoring line. During Burrows first years in the League I don't think anyone would have predicted he would end up a top line player. I see similar potential for Motte and, again, good job pro scouts on identifying a quality asset at the trade deadline!
  18. He’s a great character to observe from afar.... just as long as he is pulling those stunts out in Florida, NY or Ohio and not in my backyard. Our market is a little too sensitive for his brand of showmanship, however entertaining and justifiable it may be.
  19. I notice that color commentators have been taking more and more liberties with talking over the play after puck drops and I don't like it. I am sure it is the US influence as the commentators jabber on incessantly in MLBl. Is it too much to ask for knowledgable and keen communicators?
