    Why is everyone here convinced we can sell Myers after his bonus?  He gets it Sept. 1.  What kind of team wouldn't be cap compliant that late into the offseason?  No team.

      NHL signing bonuses are paid on July 1, I believe, unless you have information that Myers' bonus will be paid later than that.

       

      Myers' base salary for next year is only $1 million, if the Canucks retain some of his contract, that should be enough time to get something done. Not saying it's gonna be easy or that the Canucks won't have to give up picks/prospects to do it, but I don't think it's impossible. Some team trying to reach the cap floor might consider it.

      Yes.  Myers' bonus is to pbe paid on Sept. 1.  It was deliberately set up this way to deter the team from trading him away.

      Do you have a concrete source on whether it's scheduled for a September 1 payout? Not questioning your argument, mostly trying to figure out what the truth is because Google is turning up a bunch of conflicting results.
