  1. Can't locate the gif just yet, but here is the Vine and a nice shot by Lindsay Mogle, the Comet's go-to photographer.
  2. Darcy Hendrickson. Looked like a young Todd Bertuzzi at a quick glace - especially with the old-school Eagle gloves...
  3. Back to his more familiar #47 after this odd experiment with #42 (despite #47 being available and some of our other rookies rocking higher numbers - contrary to the unwritten rule)... Vancouver Canucks ‏@VanCanucks 2m2 minutes ago . @SvenBaertschi sporting No. 47 as he hits the ice for #Canucks practice this morning.
  4. Fantastic to see Baertschi rank second in points collected in the month of March!
  5. Indeed! How about this Canuck? In light of his recent comments, I would love see some creative comments!
  6. Bumpin' this thread up a bit. I wonder who this is..?
  7. Canucks Monthly Report insider Alex Auld is correct!
  8. Close-ish... Dan(y) Sabourin Ding ding! The (ca)Price is right! Luo are correct!
  9. Random goalie post #2 - The man who had an almost-all white set-up before it was cool...
  10. Pains me to post this... since Marty should only be rocking Devils' colours but here is his new Blues mask. It features his usual mask elements - flame on the chin, almost devil-like tails on the two sides, with design cues synonymous with Brodeur.
  11. Great art piece by David Leroux (via InGoalMag) honouring the late Pat Burns, who has officially taken his rightful place in the HHOF. (While the url mentions "Halak pays tributes..." it doesn't seem like an NHL goaltender will be wearing this mask, but ultimately it fits the occasion and hopefully other posters won't mind this technicality...)
  12. Jaroslav Halak's new Islanders mask along with a quick summary via InGoal Magazine: I personally am a big fan of CuJo and Halak, so having their styles meld together is pretty awesome. It's simple yet effective.
  13. Tommy Soderstrom with the Arturs Irbe-esque set-up.
  14. Good ol' Jacques Plante who played 10 games (8 Regular Season/2 Playoffs) for the B's to end his NHL career.
  15. Definitely kept an eye out when I heard him starting to mention the "leadership" on the team and noticed it sans-Kes. Unfortunately, that ship has started to sail and if the rumours/reports are true (and the deal is set to happen give or take Thursday), then he isn't in the Canucks' plan moving forward. I have a personal bias towards this (sig, jersey, memorabilia, fan of his since his Moose days), and bracing myself a-la Luongo fans for when the hammer drops. I certainly won't discount his efforts in 2011 (cue the Torts' quotes) but if he sees himself as a better fit with another team, then so be it. It's his decision at the end of the day.
  16. To be completely honest (and please don't take this as being rude), I wouldn't try and set expectations for Desjardins. Albeit, we should try and mould a team that fits the Western Conference playing style but I'll welcome any approach Desjardins wants to implement. He fits Benning and Linden's main goals of high paced hockey and bringing life back into the Canucks fanbase and that's all that I would be hoping for. He's had experience at both the NHL (associate head coach) and AHL levels so there is an understanding of veterans and prospects, which is a good fit for the collective mindset of integrating youth into our lineup from here on out. I see next season as a trial run/transition period for the future and I am fine with that.
