Canucks Suite Free Autograph Stick Question
Harvey Specter replied to sedinsassassins's topic in Canucks Talk
@sedinsassassins, I believe the Boeser Limited Edition hockey stick are the promotional white/ash/birch coloured sticks that the players will sign (individually, or as team) to be given away during the 3-Stars presentation, ticket/suite purchase incentives, etc. Do they look like these (the Minnesota one is just for reference of the "Limited Edition Signature Series")? You can see that Captain Bo and Rookie Sensation Quinn signing individual ones, and the team-signed variations. -
Following the shock of the acquisition, it's starting to look like a solid move for us. Say we miss next year's playoffs and we land into the lottery draft again, we should be good to go and be in the playoff picture by the time the 2021 draft year rolls around. Looking at our draft picks, Podkolzin should be ready to make the jump to the AHL and/or NHL following the conclusion of his current contract. (Side note: his honouring of his signed contract is a subtly good move to demonstrate his character and I liked the hidden gem/draft rank falling of him to us at 10) In addition, our core-6 will be 2+ years older, and if we can do a Storm Surge à la Hurricanes into the playoffs by then, we will be well into the playoffs. Basing on this year's draft order, let's assume we do a NYI kinda run, middle of the postseason bounce - we would draft be drafting around 21st to 23rd which would be decent value in 2021 as we wiull have benefited from Miller's contributions for 2 seasons already.

Always so impressed by Pettersson's work ethics and passion for the game! DekeyPetey working on all facets of his game!

Stan Mikita passes away at age 78
Harvey Specter replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
Rest in peace, Stan. An inspirational player who demonstrated class and sportsmanship. Thoughts and prayers to your loved ones. -
Loving the communication between GM Ryan Johnson, his coaching staff and Goldy. Great to see and hear!

Think Burr will compromise with a 10-9 Canucks OT win (based off his SN650 banter this afternoon for a Sens OT win), where he gets 3 hat-tricks in front of the Vancouver faithful Enjoy the game @debluvscanucks! Gonna be on the look out for the loudest cheering section at Rogers Arena!
-
As if we didn't know already, yes, Vancouver really needed Burrows You sure did Burr, you netted us another piece moving forward and we are grateful for that - perhaps you can reap the benefits in the near future? I hear they still have your locker stall nameplate

Definitely a great point. If I remember correctly, Stecher touched upon this point during an interview early on in the season and how there was a lot of hard work put into adjusting to the professional hockey schedule compared to playing on a weekly basis. Boeser will benefit from some time in the AHL and working with Travis Green will pay dividends
-
That is extremely fitting for Burr Thanks Wilbur for being so diligent with the stats posts

Here's another shot of Goldy in a suit - this time more tailored to his nickname tan with a hint of gold
-
This man can... He will also sell you on why Megna is his top go-to player, because he "knows our systems" (Not that I support his ridiculous coaching decisions... )
-
Best of both worlds! Iirc, and as Ossi has mentioned, Goldobin has been papered from the AHL playoffs, so there will be an opportunity to line-up with Virtanen down in Utica!

End of an era for Alex Burrows... thank you so much for the awesome memories! It is a bittersweet time as a Canucks fan, but knowing you have a new contract extension with a fellow Canadian club right in the mix for doing some serious damage in the playoffs warms me up in this difficult time. You most certainly deserve to compete for the Holy Grail and have stability moving forward Now that's worth celebrating! From Dragon Slaying to your relentless puck pursuit night in and night out, it has always been a blast cheering for you! You will be remembered as being #ForeverACanuck. It is rare to see the tenacity you bring each game and all the best as it translates to the Nation's Capital. You brought the best out of every linemate - from Kesler to the Sedins and most recently to Baer and Bo; thank you. Thanks for carrying on Luc's legacy, being the ambassador of MindCheck for the past few seasons and most importantly our Burr! See you back in a few years?

For those interested in the South Park rendition of Bo: What a great weekend for him - looks like he had a blast and it was awesome that he kept the fans in the loop with the blog posts he wrote!

While this can be argued to be more along the lines of "thinking out loud" by Kuzma, it's nice to see Gaunce continuing to trend upwards. Link to article here, and quoted for those who would like to read it: Extra tidbit: Here's Kuzma's predictions on our opening night roster

Here's a goaltending prospects piece from InGoal Magazine courtesy of Greg Balloch. (http://ingoalmag.com/features/top-50-nhl-goaltending-prospects-for-2015-2016-season/) The requirements are listed, along with a few notable exceptions to the list: To quickly summarize, he has ranked Thatcher Demko at number 12, which is pretty respectable given that he is committed to Boston College will not be making the jump as quickly as some of the higher ranking individuals.

Correct

Name this former Canuck in a Tampa Bay jersey!

Good ol' Nolan Baumgartner! Solid depth defenseman for the latter part of the WCE era. Always liked his time as a Canuck, Moose, Wolf, before becoming one of Wolves' (and subsequently Utica's) assistant coaches, upon relocation.

Juice/Guzzler and the Anaheim Puzzler
Harvey Specter commented on Keslerific's blog entry in Narwhal Hockey
Another quality post by Keslerific! Keep up the great work and I too like Kesler (still) as well. -
Unfortunately no. That's correct!
