I agree. It's Benning's mess himself created over 7 years that's clogging the pipeline now. It's been warned for years and here we are.
If one's head has to roll it should be Benning's. Green may get another chance with the new GM like AV did with Gillis, if somehow they find a way to get rid of those dead weights on the roster.
I could tell there wasn't enough effort or hard work just watching the game on tv. The only one who was trying hard was, again, Hoglander. All the others were just going through the motions, vets and young players alike.
Just realized that the owner's lone goal this year is to "save money", which means FA will not hire a new GM or coach if he does fire either/both. Most likely he'll promote from within...
So how does GM Weisbroad + head coach Baumgartner sound?
My memory is kinda fuzzy but I think you're right. Apparently Weisbroad was hired a couple of months after Benning, so It makes more sense for the hiring to happen that way.
What if Linden was still the president? He's the one brought in Benning and the snake Wisebroad, even though everyone said we needed a more experienced GM with a championship team building pedigree.
Maybe Linden's feeling lucky to leave this mess early and having the last laugh now.
They were our heart and soul players. Marky and Tanev will bleed blue and green till the day they retire. Flames just got two pretty good players and that's it.
No amount of filthy George Canyon money can change that.
