      I really like the pepperoncinis, but if someone offered me pickled habanero (and to be honest, pickling reduces the heat quite a bit as it dissipates into the pickling juice - which can then be added to salad dressing or whatever) I'd take them instead.  

       

      Scotch Bonnets would pickle just fine. Any pepper would/does. In fact, I've yet to meet a vegetable that didn't pickle, even broccoli was good.

      pickled onions are a bit odd, they add lots of flavour to other pickles but on their own they taste off to me.

      That's a fair point Jimmy, I pritner never eat pickled onions on their own though so maybe that's why I figure they have something to offer. 

       

      On that note, how many pickles do people actually eat on their own? Not as part of a bigger meal? How many dills can one eat as a snack before they get vinegar sweats? They're usually part of a bigger picture, unless one nabs a few bites of out of the Hot Mix jar as a snack.
