I don't think he was ever a fit here and that the plan was to trade him the entire time. CDC always over valued him as a trade asset. I'm glad we got something for him, the cap space is worth more than the 5th.

I've been away for a while. Lurking in the shadows. I've made some good friends on this board. Lots of memories. Lots of heated debates that resulted in a handful of warning pts (I'm a badass I know).
Despite all that, in saddened allt he way to my core. I've been a part of this community for a long time and like many others, it's built into my daily schedule.
I'm not sure where I'm going to talk Canucks now. Not many of us out east.
I'll miss you and love all of you. Even you Alf.

I was expecting this to be a Toews slander thread. I'm glad it didn't turn into that. He's had an amazing career and was a treat to watch (when he wasn't playing us).
The beach thing doesn't look great for sure, however, I'll laugh in the face at any internet warrior on CDC that thinks they would have done something different as a 21 year old kid.
And that's all I have to say about that.
