Of all of these teams,...the Russians are always such a wild card. As much as I wanted to see the Swedes in this final - I think facing-off vs the Russians, given our history with 'em, will make things even more spell-binding & intense!

The officiating here is so much better than in the NHL.

I hear that the Canada vs Denmark quarter-final game was broadcast on state-television in Denmark for the 1st time. They mave have been a little disappointed by the end results of the game,...but there will be a lot more enthusiasm for next year, in Finland. BTW - the Danish coach looks like a true viking! Arrrrgh!

Food for thought - I have long-felt that a few senior officials often assigned to work the So-Cal triangle, make many of the league's most atrocious calls. Without pulling clips to substantiate that, could there be an agenda here..or are the most senior zebras able to bid for their hub of assignments,..and now all too familiar with the home-boys & awe-struck by celebrity friends,.. acquiring a bias that's formed over time?

..the only solution is to rotate 'em out of there, but - me thinks the current system suits the league & their 'Head of Officiating" - just fine.

@MB - Are you sayin' the Kings are just pacin' themselves & that they only throttle-up when they feel like it...& that's typically more often on home-ice?

It's crazy how fast it spreads - and how it doesn't affect certain players.

The NHL is such a joke. THAT'S a head hit? Emelin panicked, threw the puck away and awkwardly tried to move back. The head was hit only because he tried to dodge the hit.

It was an accidental hit to the head, the shoulder to shoulder contact was 1st. No deliberate attempt to target the head as the principal point of contact. The NHL's very dubious DPS is trying to make that ascertain thru biased eyes. Quintal..really? Doesnt he the Habs logo tatooed on his chest or something? That's the biases we continually have to face. There's NO equittable regional representation upon this DPS at all.
