  1. Another post hit. Sadly, the hockey-gods do not yet appear to be with us.
  2. Burrows never dirty. Burtows was always ethically sound, a bit of a diver & a mouthy pest, yes, but more or less hard-working & honourable. To say any different - you’ve been duped, all the way, by the BOG President & Bruins owner’s mega-media empire including his plants at the CBC like Don Cherry & Ron McClean on Coach’s corner. Torres was a hitting machine & would hit guys as often or as hard as he was allowed, usually with his shoulder & crossing this line, periodically - nothin’ else. Rhuutu, was made out of a mold like Esa Tikanen, surly, mouthy, pesky but not a piece of sh$t. And Matt Cooke was perpetrating his worst offenses not while a Canuck, but as a Penguin. No where near the douchey-goonery seen elsewhere. The O-6 teams have owners with deep media interests like radio, tv, cable & newspapers…they are the power brokers of this league. The control the main-narrative in how the media & league portray their players out there. Case in point: the farcical Mark Messier leadership award. There couldn’t be a ‘worse’ example of respect for your fellow union bros, playing with honour or abiding by the rules of the game. ^This chronic cheat is not wanted managing any young players & his lauding sends all the mixed-messaging that Bettman really wants to send - instead of being a steward of progressive officiating & player-safety out there.
  3. Weren’t as bad as Marchand? Lucic? Lemieux? Messier? Keith? Or a host of other career-enabled ones! ^Did they spear anyone, slew foot anyone, carve any players?
  4. Boudreau letting his leadership group talk to their teammates before coming out! Miller-time no doubt!
  5. Playing a better way under Boudreau in second half, & the Hamonic effect is gone. I think the guys were bitter that his decisions screwed up the D-pairings regularly. So many of this years Canucks are breaking records - even with the “lead balloon” first half of their season . Bet Pettersen & Hughes don’t let their agents hold’em out again! These players need to be committed to each other on the ice & need to be committed to winning each & every game that’s scheduled going forward! That comes from a place of ‘deeper’ sacrifices - the kind made between the ears!
  6. Good to hear Canucks Nation being represented by those very enthusiastic chants & cheers in the opponent’s arena, tonight! Applause to the 7th man and all that!!!
  7. Tanev being a teammate of Lucic must be like Linden being a teammate with Messier,… full respect just can’t possibly be there!
  8. Someone spear Lucic as this game nears it’s close. Karma owes him more than a few.
  9. Yah - if recovering from the flu, playing Martin in there somewhere could have been a little re-set/recovery time for him.
  10. If they didn’t know it already,…they can’t take penalties vs the ‘Lames. Go grief - looks like Demmer has lost his fighting spirit.
  11. F#%^ you, Kelly! Rough starts were due to so many changes, not all good ones. They actually need to settle upon a style & a core more & develop some steady continuity to start playing more quickly & instinctually with one another, now. The Hamonic-effect & losing Sutter as solid PK support, face-offs falling mainly to Bo, meant there were more adjustments, nightly. The hold-outs didn’t help & now our young guns are being seasoned in a new style under Boudreau! There have been enough changes endured already, for the majority of these players to have proven that they belong!
  12. You gotta believe all of this cursed hard luck will get a pendulum-swing out of here,….and the good karma being stored-up in a vat somewhere will eventually pour out all over them! ^That season/year they win the SCup!
  13. That was a key injury & a turning point in this race to the post season. No more “core” shake-ups! Keep the chemistry of this team together to start & just add more depth to plug up any holes that may occur when there are injuries. And, nobody should be advised to be a hold-out, as the consequences are dear.
  14. Oh Garry! If his unburied chances were all candies & nuts we’d all have a Merry Christmas!
  15. We weren’t going to get real referees who’d watch out for that, with LAK & VGK struggling to stay in the play-off hunt, as well. I was sick of seeing Sutherland ref Canucks’ games after that Bruins series in 2011, then in the LA series the following season…& now we’ve seen him twice this past week! I believe he was refereeing for that Steve Moore blind-side head-shot to Naslund, that went uncalled & eventually lead to the Bertuzzi incident down the road. That guy is “poison” to this organization. How they cannot black-ball him, is beyond me!
  16. Markstrom doing Canucks a solid, by not playing, I guess. Thanks Marky! Get after - Vlad!
  17. They almost did with Opera-dude, but he wouldn’t mask-up or get vaxxed. Real-life consequences, other than contracting Covid.
  18. So… after reading this, who do YOU believe that this league wants to be in the play-offs? If they keep assigning old-school put-away-your-whistles referees like Sutherland, O’Halloran or O’Rourke… that essentially allow for a lot of “cheating” then that makes it pretty clear. We’ve had Sutherland twice this past week. With parity in this league, refereeing can very much help to decide hockey games & interfere with the results in these pre/play-off races. I just pray that Aquilini’s paying to get Rutherford on board has bought this team at the very least, perhaps - an ounce more of insider-clout, to affect the upcoming assignments, but If these assignments were all made pre-Rutherford, we’re likely hooped on that. So as always, the Canucks will be playing against all odds & this league’s manipulations - right down to the wire! They remain the ultimate under-dogs! As read upon rival fan-boards, Canucks Nation & more & more hockey-fans around the world, are seeing this team for what it is - a very hearty, skilled, often unlucky, yet highly-entertaining group - that has deserved far more reward, as a franchise, than it has received over its’ existance. Perhaps, the hockey-gods will choose to back them soon - too!
  19. LA may have an easier schedule on paper but - are the Kings doing the same thing…which is at times, playing down to their easier opponents? Perhaps. The LA Kings are a team with a negative goal differential who play in a lot of 1 goal games. It apparently depends a lot upon who scores the 1st goal - to see how their games play out. There are NO easy outs for them either. Stay hopeful!
  20. If it hasn’t already been said, We definitely learned that deploying the “Bruce There It Is” chant too soon, can be a jinx.
  21. Boudreau. It’s time for a new gif - lest he ever forget what motivated him to make this choice again.
