I have to say, this one was so obscure that I had to google it, and even then it took about a half-hour of process of elimination; very inspired choice if I do say so myself. Since I technically cheated, I will leave the answer but place it in a spoiler box in case someone still wants to figure this one out the right way...

Sorry to play semantics, but, Polasek was drafted out of the QMJHL (a two year pre draft career with the PEI Rockets if I remember correctly). He was the last Czech player I remember drafting, but we didn't pick him out of the Czech Republic like Jasek.

Schroeder wasn't the best player available in 2009? I was under the impression he was one of the most skilled players in that draft and picking him at 22 was a no-brainer. Would you please elaborate who you considered as the BPA at that point?

Will Rodin play in the AHL after being eliminated or does his contract in Sweden restrict him from doing so?

When did this thread get pinned? Nice goal by Burr, an inspirational career to young players everywhere. Undrafted to the ECHL and eventually he got a tryout with the moose which led to a contract with Vancouver I believe
