Super 7 Hogwilder LW Putzgoalzin RW Lind RW Brogan rastafari RD Olli Yolandi LD Rath of bone LD Woo RD Honorable mention get Focht. There's really good competition for the D positions especially if you add Tryamkin to that mix. I predict Tanev will be re signed 3 years 5m. This will be Edlers last contract sad but age is catching up to the eagle. In 2 years time we could have a lineup of. Miller Pete Toffoli Pearson Bo Boeser Hoglander Gaud Virtanen/Podkolzin Roussel Beagle Podkolzin/Virtanen Hughes Tanev Juolevi Meyers Rathbone Tryamkin Brogan Woo

so hypothetically if the season resumes in July and everyone is healthy how do we fit under the cap?

If the season ended today, does Hughes win the Calder?
hammertime replied to smokes's topic in Canucks Talk
I dont even care. The Calder is kind of a booby prize. what matters most is that he continues to grow as a player. handing a kid a prize that says you're the best sends completely the wrong message in terms of future growth. -
way I see it if the playoffs are cancled then the Canucks keep their first and send Tampa next year's. All the teams are given lotto odds based on their current standings. And with the 31st pick in the 2020 entry draft the canucks select. Helge Grans

Discussion: If you HAD to move Podkolzin....
hammertime replied to J-Dizzle's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Virtanen would put up similar numbers if he got Boesers 100% o zone starts and 1st unit PP. The difference is Virtanen can actually play a checking role Boeser last time he threw a body check he nearly ended his career. As much as I like Brock hes a 1 trick pony for 6m hes gotta do more than score goals in the high 20s. -

na I want podkolzin and virtanen om the team. if push comes to shove deal Brock as he will return the most. -
I was a huge Morits Sieder, Newhook, supporter never thought Podkolzin would be available for us though. I was and still am over the moon with that pick. Podkolzin is a very tough player to play against he will hunt you down and take the puck from you.

Considering what we paid for JT Miller a even at the time more established scorer on a better contract than Boeser. I would love it if he was worth that package but I highly doubt he is.
-
so much conflicting info so many in this thread say he can play this season / playoffs for us but the way I understand it he cant. so I'm just gonna assume he cant until I actually see him confirmed comming to play.
-
Soooooo he can or can't play if the canucks were to sign him? Is my understanding that he wouldn't be able to play until next season false.?
-
I heard the flow is practicing again. IMO I would like to see him eased back into the lineup playing reduced mins 5 on 5. Gaudette has been one of the Canucks best point producers in 2020 would be good to see them united at least on an experimental basis while Brock gets back up to 100%. Miller Pete Toffoli Pearson Bo Virtanen Mac Gaudette Boeser (I think with Mac playing net front this can be a very dangerous 2ndary scoring line.) Motte Beagle Sutter (shut down) Press box: Rooster, Little things

Damage? Litterally no sports writers/odds makers had the canucks even challenging for a wild card spot this year. https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-power-rankings-super-16-july-18/c-308287302 https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/27239491/nhl-power-rankings-rating-every-team-heading-2019-20 How about Quinn Hughes shattering every rookie defenceman record for the nux? How about Jake scoring 20? He will I already bought my 6 pack. How about Pete shaking the softmore slump now that every team in the league knows how good he is? Bo Horvat is now easilly considered one of the best defensive centerman in the league. Not worried about the kids they are developing pretty flippin well. Who predicted JT Miller at PPG+? how about having 6-7 20 goal scorers? (Jakes gonna do it and Brock certainly would have as well Toffoli absolutely crushing it). Its really easy to get wrapped up in the emotion of the moment but take a deep breath step back our team may be struggling through some adversity right now but regardless this season has been a huge step forward. I know its frustrating watching Loui, Sutter, Roussel, for the time being but remember their lightning rods to relieve some pressure from the kids. This city can be ruthless.- 665 replies

man I think we are seeing everything JB needs to make an assessment right now. seeing if this team rallies and pulls out of this tail spin or rolls over and plays dead is basically all JB really needs to see to know what moves need to be made. -

I think Stercher may have nightmares about that goal for a while. Hes a passionate guy I kinda feel for him. That said unless hes willing to sign on the cheep I just dont see him being extended. -

I don't think he can command a big contract until he plays at this level consistently. He will be very lucky to get Tanner Pearson money Cap is going up doubtful that it will be anything over 84m though. Stetcher is gone Eriksson moved after bonus paid Leivo walks Baertschi bought out Ferland LTIR It makes a good sky is falling narrative though. -

Meh I ain't even mad. At least they played better. There are things to build on in this loss. Demko stopped some pucks Jake played like the player we were hoping to get when he was drafted. Their watching their playoff hopes slip through their fingers you can see the fire lit inside them tonight. They are gonna win their next game BOOK IT! -

um if I was a rebuilding team GM having trouble making the cap floor and if Erikssons bonus had already been paid leaving only 4m remaining to pay him over 2 years sure I'd certainly consider it.
