That's a 10m difference

I would only consider it if it's to a team like Toronto who won't win a playoff round.

Andrew Gibson could be a dark horse target for us in the 2nd/3rd big boi defensive D is his game but he's shown he can also be a threat at both ends. I've been quite impressed with what I have seen of him so far. I think he's ranked a bit lower than he will go. https://saultsports.com/blueliner-andrew-gibson-commits-to-soo-greyhound-program/ One of his biggest strengths is on the defensive side of the puck. He’s a skilled skater who uses his physicality and long reach to break up plays and activate the attack. We are really impressed with his efficiency in moving the puck and his ability to add to his teams offensive attack” stated Raftis. The 6’3″ and 188 lbs rearguard last played with the Windsor AAA Zone Jr. Spitfires U16 club in 2019-20 where he recorded 11 goals and 17 assists (28 points) in 32 regular season games played. “We believe Andrew is just beginning to show the player he is capable of becoming and we are excited to have him be apart of our program moving forward” concluded GM Kyle Raftis.

[PGT] Vancouver Canucks at New York Islanders | Feb. 09, 2023

Happy Bo showed well for their fans. It is nice to see him do well there. The best case scenario is that this is a great trade for both teams. -
His contract is a lot of money. See how it plays out. Maybe it was the best thing for our team. It's cold blooded but the return in the trade + a higher 1st this year are a bigger win than Bo's contract demands.

Not wrong!

[Proposal] Not Done With the Isles Yet

Honestly I think they would do really well. They got a few shots left with this team. Miller and Bo IMO puts them in cup conversation and they aren't even in a wc right now. -
Say we draft at 5 this IMO is best case scenario we we get the pick of the litter. Considering we are committed to Pete and Hughes as our core to build around! the draft went. Bedard Fantilli Michkov Carlsson In whatever order who do you take @ 5??

Womp womp! Man feel for the kid he's a good kid it's not his fault. Good for him for having loyalty to his club. Maybe bad for us. I expected him to be a slow cooker so I'm not writing him off yet even though I wanted a D with the pick I still had him high on my board.

[Signing] Sabres re-sign Dylan Cozens

This is a good deal he will certainly more than surpass this value. -
Hopefully he can put this year in the rear view and put in work in the gym to get stronger. Hopefully bring him over to NA next year.

I think it's a good bet that at least 1 of OptomusRein, ASP, Smash will be available with the NYI pick and they all have very exciting and needed attributes for our club. As much as I have screamed draft D on this board for the past 5 years. From Sergachev, Seider, last year Bichsel this year is a bit different though. I think we should be thrilled with a couple wingers with our 1st ya I said it Michkov Benson are head n shoulders above the C's and D's on the board once Bedard, Carlsson, Fantilli are gone. So now we have another flashy winger and still no C's or D's in the system if we go down to the NYI pick. I have 3 C's and 3 D's here I would be thrilled with any of the 6 guys. Ritchie Simashev Reinbacher Dvorsky Yager Axel Pellikka We grab our future hard mins 2C in Ritchie. Fingers crossed. There are very good D available in the 2nd Bonk Strbak Dragicevik Akey Minnitian Sotheran Dvorsky Ideally we get another 2nd and take 2 of these guys. Lots of very good defenseman are drafted in the 2nd and beyond as usually the best ones are the ones you don't notice. It's easy to get distracted by the desperate need we have for D but the reality is we need to knock that first pick out of the park and take the highest ceiling player. With our 2nd 1st we need a foundational stabilizing player to me that's between Ritchie/Simashev. Then we take our RHD in the 2nd Bonk or Strbak are the 2 I want most and don't have them far behind ASP on my board.

Wow Horvats eyes look tired -
I like Leonard more fwiw. Would I pick him??? I might take Benson if he's in the mix if not I take Smith but it's a hard choice between the 2. Bedard Carlsson Michkov Fantilli Smith/Benson not ready to pick yet! Hard here I think I go Ritchie because that's the guy we need! Then I go BPA with the NYI pick and can sleep at night.

This is very true! I am very interested to see... Maybe it's a nothing burger possibly none of Pickering Bichsel Lekkerimaki become impact players maybe one or more of the does.......... Lekkerimaki does have the highest upside. But right now the floor on the D looks higher than the probability of Lekkerimaki hitting his ceiling.
