  1. I was wondering what people's thoughts on his post-deadline interview were. He really acts like a dick to some of these reporters. He knows he can just decline to comment without personally insulting them right? It's annoying how he just rejects everything the reporters say with such a bad attitude, they are just doing their job to put food in their families mouths, take it easy Mike.
  2. -A new goaltender going through a brutal learning curve -A wimpering, weak offence -A shaky d-core that is not stable at all and has issues scoring -A bolstered, tough division who does nothing but look down on the Canucks now Things are looking rough for this team. Not Calgary rough, but its heading there.
  3. I still feel he might have been traded, won't believe anything until I get real confirmation.
  4. Can't sleep.. Gillis will eat me... Can't sleep.. Gillis will eat me..
  5. I can't sleep, too freakin depressed over losing Lu... man this sucks harsh. GUHHHHHHHHH....
  6. Fixed. My contract sucks. My GM sucks. There, I fixed it for him But seriously, if people are just offering us crap, then we might as well wait until draft day. GM's ass's will be on the line for losing the cup and they might pay a little extra to acquire him for next season. I don't really see his value going down, would be nice to move him now though.
  7. Instead of calling him garbage, or calling his play garbage, why don't you actually tell us what it is you don't like? Elaborate a little.
  8. You know he is a human being right? Show some respect and use intelligent words.
  9. Pittsburgh ain't exactly offering the world for Kesler. They are basically offering us an unproven Pouliot for Kesler, the other players they could probably just keep tbh. Philly has more pieces to offer.
  10. Everyone trying to sway the cost of Kesler, I hope MG isn't dumb enough to budge on the asking price unless its going up.
  11. If Kesler goes to Chi we might as well do a full rebuild because there is no way we are beating them to a cup in the next 5 years.
  12. Umberger won't play for vancouver remember? We are the ones who drafted him and he refused to play for us, we had to trade him away. No way in hell we go after him, not with his bad attitude.
  13. This makes no sense for us though, we have no use for him. You don't have to make excuses for what they offer, we have all the bargaining power, so we dictate who comes and goes in this scenario.
  14. Doubt they have 10mil cap to spare, but that would be great if they did!
  15. Not sure, but I don't like how hard Pitts is trying to sell us their cast-off's or how they are playing these media games to take advantage of us. I would rather deal with Philly as they seem to be taking this more seriously. Plus I would rather see Kesler in a Philly jersey tbh. Pittsburgh seems like the spoiled rich kid in the class who thinks hes entitled to get whatever he wants. This Pittsburgh team is loaded with good assets, and they offer us questionable fringe players at best. We have no reason to do Pitts any favours. Kesler is our one great asset to trade, after Kesler, Higgins is our top goal scorer, and no one wants him. So we better get at least a one top blue chip. Because if not, the only other way we are getting one is if we tank to 30th in the league, and Buffalo and Edmonton will own that territory for a while still.
  16. Absolutely, remember the CoHo trade? That came out after the deadline. Any trade involving Kesler, I figure MG is going to wait to the very last second to see if he can squeeze anything else out of someone. Why not? I would do it.
  17. It doesn't really matter, MG will simply tell any team who makes an offer what they should offer, MG is a patient man, too patient in fact, look at Luongo. But all MG needs to do is make a counter offer and teams will know what is needed.
  18. I would consider that, maybe get their 1st from 2015 instead of this year. Simmonds goes onto the first line with the twins, trade Edler package for something of real top 6 value to fill out our second line or a good pick. Horvat/Laughton for your potential 1/2 center of the future, with Shinkaruk, Kassian and Jensen, Simmonds for their wingers..start building around that. Tell the team to pack its bags early and basically write this hellish season off, get a pick in the top 10 if possible, make some trades and work magic to offload some of these bad contracts we hold. Do a mini on the fly rebuild/retool for next season and re-orient this group with some different blood, It will probably suck but at least it will be something fresh to watch for now.
  19. If they are worried about losing a dman in Maatta for the run, then we can offer them one of ours to replace him, it would be added into the trade. Thing is, we are the ones in a position of power, they either give us what we want or we move on. Pits think they can just offer us their 'booth schroeder' cast-offs and be justified. I'm sorry, Sutter and Pouliot and a garbage throw-away 1st will NOT CUT IT for Kesler. Give us at least a real bluechip prospect or a very low draft pick or gtfo. (Its basically Kesler for Pouliot, and he doesn't even play a position we need and its not even their best prospect. Just awful.) /end of story.
  20. This is like us desperately trying to get Shea Weber, but then offering schroeder, booth and corrodo and a late 1st. not a chance on any layer of hell I take Shero seriously. I would cut him out of the talks with offers like that. You start with Maatta or dont bother calling, if they consider him 'untouchable' that is their problem not ours.
  21. Then Kesler is off the table with our current condition. We are in no position to do Pits any favours.
