What is your 2019-2020 projected lineup for the Canucks?

pearson horvat miller baertschi pettersson boeser ferland sutter eriksson virtanen beagle motte goldobin, schaller I see Pearson and Leivo as similar players. One of them starts at LW with Horvat/Miller. Schaller looks to be in very good condition this year with great speed for his size. I think Eriksson gets in because of his versatility. Also good at picking up greasy goals from in front of the net where Ferland will be. Canucks have size and speed, but I'd like to see them keep their playmakers in the lineup, so Goldobin sticks around. Virtanen shifts in after Ferland to try and one up him with speed and an even bigger check. -

[Rumor] Boeser Camp Eyeing 4 Year Deal Worth $28M

Boeser may likely have appreciated a 7 x 7 offer from the Canucks. The team showing it believes in him long term. -

[Signing] Canucks sign Micheal Ferland
Comeback_Kings replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
"the Maple Leafs will likely form the majority of their bottom-six using Moore, Jason Spezza, Nic Petan, Kenny Agostino, and Nick Shore"... presented like this is a good thing? ! -
[Signing] Canucks sign Micheal Ferland

I'd still rather have Sutter than Bonino -
The Penguins signing bottom six fwd Tanev long term mirrors what Benning did last year with Beagle, Roussel. Makes it look like Benning is actually ahead of the game. All these years, Benning's been trying things, team getting better, exciting young core and the decision not to trade out players like Horvat, Edler, Tanev, Markstrom

I see Burakovsky as a project player. Canucks have had and still have their fair share of players like this, players with upside. The problem with players with upside is often they don't have any upside and what you see is what you get. Canucks traded for a player with upside in Baertschi and there was and is upside. Canucks have a player in Virtanen who seems to have upside... I still believe in him, but if he doesn't have improvement this season he'll be where Burokovsky is now, off to another team that is willing to take a shot on his upside. Benning is limiting his experiments right now as he wants what he thinks are bonafide players who he can count on to be players and play a role on the team this season.

Decent trades. Canucks fwd group looks deep right now especially with the addition of Miller and late season acquisition Pearson. Leivo or Baertschi or other winger going to take spots in the fwd group from Miller, no way. Canucks have solid futures, great two picks this year, really point out to the mix of skill and determination fwd identity Canucks are building

Canucks make the playoffs next year. They have great goaltending. They have a forward group that has size and speed and tenacity on every line with the right mix of skill. There is an identity to this team. They are fast and tough with players who can snipe. They are hardworking and will be hard to play against. A lot of depth at forward.
