  1. I was at the game and the building went dead slient when seeing Hamhuis lying quietly on ice. Of all the games I've watched this was the scariest moment that I can think of. I was hopeing it was a forward instead of a d-man while quickly scanning thru the bench but there was no #2 on sight...You were right, Gezlaf's hit was somehow legit but a penalty could or should have been called. I am really getting tired of offcials but making non-calls and bad calls...even though yesterday Canucks and Ducks played a very displined game.Losing yet another D might have overshadowed the fact that we were not up to the level of play last night. Two of the goals we let in were when opponents were charging the net and our D wasn't able to match up the play. Schieder somehow made some amazing safes, I didn't blame him for letting in 4 goals. Ducks played in an intensity tantamount to playoff caliber, as I see countless passes and shots being blocked by their players. While we didn't capitalize chances, a few mistakes in front of the net and neutral zone costed us the game. Forget about the 3rd goal by Kesler and Daniel's near goal with 2 sec left on the clock...Mason Raymond did has few chance last night...but basically our 2nd and 3rd line look very slow to me..I didn't see the speed nor the flow of play until the time was getting desperate. Looking at the bottom half of the playoff bound teams from Western Conference...every single of them is dangerous and not shy to play an all-in-all-out game when it comes to playoff...Hopefully our Ds will be healthy by the time when the games really matter...!
  2. This is a complete joke again for tonight's game! The officiating was just horrible sequal from Game 3. Luongo wasn't sharp for the whole evening and our defense basically just shattered after Toews quick goal; therefore, it was a complete collapse for Canucks! Again, Canucks played a good first periods with some obvious changes in their tactics, using their speed and good body checks; however, they just lost it at some point! I wasn't a big fan of conspiracy theory, but I am starting to believe in it.
  3. "It's going to be a dandy, because I see Detroit and Chicago in the Conference Finals and another Pittsburgh-Washington showdown before Chicago claims the Cup. Bold? Maybe." That was a really bold prediction on Western Conference Final and the Cup winner. But I must agree that Canucks are standing on thin ice if they are to face Hawks in the second round. Cuz basically speaking, our D and PK aren't up for the high calibre attacks from Chicago! Doughty/Kopitar already giving us great trouble during this series, imagine with battled harden Hawks lines while Vancouver putting up a D-line without Willie Mitchell in the line up! Seabrook and Keith will be much more dangerous than Daughty! But hey...Van vs Chi will be a hit series for sure! As far as my Canucks bad blood, I am a bit scared seeing Hawk's powerful forward line against our crippled D! But still Believe...!!!
  4. Dittos to our Canucks being able to play come back hockey, as always. However, being in a comeback situation can really wear a team down, espeically in the long term. It is amazing that we were able to play such comeback hockey when our top defense are down, by using firepowers from our forwards. It worried me a bit when seeing they are playing this style of hockey as we all knew from the WCE + Crawford period. one goal, two goals down situation and then your forwards can put up 4 goals. However, this dynamic style of scoring did not take us far in the playoffs. Luongo did not look sharp on the back of our already shaken up defense. Chicago, the one team we couldn't do this Return of Jedi style come back, has pretty solid and strong defense. They did pretty good job on shutting down our top scorers. As we all know that once the playoff starts, every team will be playing solid shutdown hockey on their defensive side. I will be cheering for Canucks in GM Place on their first game back after this long long long road trip! best regards, MK
