  1. Well i don't think he is half the man, Lui was pretty damn awesome for the most part (playoffs another story) It was impressive to see Miller jump in without hesitation! I have no doubt things would be different if we had Miller here during that time frame.
  2. No they won't actually because it's a ratio, sure he will get more wins but he also will have a pile more losses than Joseph. But i think the killer is that without a Vezina or Cup to his name he won't get in. If you look at goalies who have got in the last 30 or so years they all have multiple cups and Vezina trophies, Lui and Joseph have neither.
  3. Well considering Joseph with the similar results as Lui has never got any recognition in the hof yet I'm don't know how Lui will get in. Both are great goalies though.
  4. Well now he is officially 2nd all time in losses and the only one left to pass now is Brodeur who is another 40 or so losses ahead of him. I've said this before but i have a hard time thinking he is getting voted in to HOF especially now with having a slightly worse win/loss record than CuJo. Sad but i think both of these goalies will be overlooked as it seems goalies get in on Vezina and Stanley cup awards only.
  5. I think he is there for the next two seasons, after that his salary drops by 3.3 mill for 2018 and then a couple more mill the next season. I can't imagine him playing just for the fun of the game and getting a bit over 1 mill per season. I don't think we will see him play for 3 something million even.
  6. Especially with that iron ore mine at the headwaters... mmm good stuff!
  7. I'm not sure, Cujo has never been close yet and him and Lui have pretty similar careers. It seems goalies are judged differently for HOF consideration.
  8. It's hard to say as his last two starts have been stellar but he had no consistency before those. Hopefully he can pull it together this year and be consistent in the playoffs which he has always struggled with. I predict he will fall short of Plante and also have the dubious distinction of second most losses of all time by seasons end.
  9. Don't know what's going on with Lui but since the all star break he is a shadow of the goalie who had a great year going up to that point. They said since the break he has .894 save percentage and a 3.2 gaa. Tonight he just had a horrible collapse in last half of third period. The whole team did but Lui looked really rattled out there, have to be making those saves at this time of year. Interesting to see how the year finishes up.
  10. Montoya got steamrolled over by a Wild player and left the game.
  11. Now at loss number 346... Tied with John Vanbiesbrouk for fifth overall all time.
  12. Eight more losses and he will be number two for most career losses. Amazing long career he's had. Two more seasons and he might be the career leader.
  13. No you said Lui's 2007 season was far better than Rasks 2014 season. Explain how it was far better... The stats certainly don't show it.
  14. Yeah if you go by wins I guess. Lui also played 18 more games that year. gaa. Lui 6th Rask 4th sv% Lui 4th. Rask 2nd shutouts Lui 6th. Rask 1st wins Lui 2nd. Rask 5th team wins Van 49 Bos 54 Safe to say an argument could be made either way, if both were in the same season I think the winner would still be Rask.
  15. How is Lui's season in 2007 better than Rask's Vezinas season?
  16. problem for Lui right now is the amount of wins, the way he is playing though that will change. He has turned back the clock and playing like 2007 again.
  17. The numbers are amazingly close for goalies and the teams also, I honestly believe the shutouts was the difference and of course a bit of comfort voting for the perennial nominee maybe.
  18. I was there a while ago... And no there is no one there! The good news is that we got two tickets, parking, two burgers and I can't remember if we got two beers also or if we paid for those!! That was 75 bucks!! Seated ten rows up... It was sad after thinking how no one watches these pro athletes down there. Jagr is worth it alone
  19. The year Brodeur beat him in all the key categories and had 12 shutouts to Lui's 5?
  20. Bishop and Quick should also be thrown in that pile of runner ups.
  21. Not sure he is top three right now but he is getting close to knocking on that door. Top five or six is more realistic. Unless Holtby has a meltdown he is already running away with it this year.
  22. Well he's already well ahead of Espo in the losses column so hopefully he can win more than lose the rest of the season to hold that as close as he can.
  23. I have never heard of any fans hurt by Bure... Many were hurt by management at the time but that is entirely different. Luongo gave nothing but praise for the fans and the city, find one instance where he upset with the fans... Won't happen. He was pissed about the winter classic and earlier things regarding Schneiders playing time... Once again he loved the city and fan base here. if you are basing this on seeing some threads on the forums here how Luongo is a loser.... I somehow don't think a player pays attention to a few rogue fans who don't like him!!
