    Very few players perform at the highest level into their mid thirties, a decline is expected. Anyone remember how good Lecavalier was in his prime? Not everyone is a Martin St. Louis kind of player.

    This is completely different than the Roy incident. There is zero tolerance for interaction of coaches or management in the hall or lockeroom area. During the game they can yell and scream and rant all they want. I bet he gets five games.

    Maybe you can compare him to Trent Klatt but comparing him in any way to Tim Kerr is ridiculous.

    Not about to read all these posts but if you wanted a popular ex player why wouldn't you give the job to Stan Smyl? He has years of front office experience.

    A lot of people with such high expectations here. I remember watching Brampton when they had Spezza and Raffi Torres and Raffi looked like a superstar out there. He got drafted in the top five and look at him now. This could easily be how Horvat turns out so let's give him a chance and don't expect miracles.

    It's safe to say that even if someone is rumored for Team Canada...they are elite.

    It was more the trades Keenan made rather than being a coach that was part of that dreadful era. Torts might piss a few guys off and one or two might request a trade after a year or two but as long as MG is in charge, he dictates the quality of team we have.

    No i am specifically referring to his time with the ducks... after Burke didn't offer him a good contract, the Wings grabbed him and the rest is history. At the time he was thought to be a trap specialist only.

    Nobody thought much about Babcock either until he started winning with the Wings. Before that he was considered another defensive trap specialist. Sometimes guys just need the right environment and people surrounding them to succeed.

    Have they interviewed Stevens? Or Tippett for that matter? Slow down on 'booking' it.
