More physical than Hamhuis ahahahhaaaaaaa omg? This forum never ceases to amaze me. Dont get me wrong i really like Edler yes he is having a brutal year but Hamhuis game is very well rounded, Edler still has a lot of defensive learning/repairing to do.

Gaborik must have an incredible turn around to his career to be called a sniper again. Yes he scored 41 with the rangers 2 years ago but this guy is no where near his old self and has proven to be quite brittle, so no thanks to Marion. As for Franzen we dont need another average aging winger on our roster . We need point per game players, goal scorers not guys in the twilight of their careers. I just dont get why everyone is so hell bent on getting rid of Edler for sub par returns.

I think Tbay is going to surprise as well. They just need their run game to be more consistent and the wins will start coming. Your Eagles are closer than you than you think Chip. They need to make a move or 2 on defense and they will be destroying WSH, DAL and NYG.

Excellent points Joe. Why would anyone release details about any pending deals ? It is a violation of the whole process. As much as i hate Mike's answers or lack there of this fan base really needs to mellow out. As a result of the teams dominance over the last few seasons most Canucks fans are not used to this kind of brutal play. The injuries are a huge factor especially when our call ups are still to green to make any real impact on the big club. The new coach and system will take time as well. Personally I do not think Gillis is the man to manage this team anymore. His inability to pull the trigger on any real key moves proves it. That being said we are stuck with him until the Aquilini's decide otherwise. I just hope we dont fall to far from the level of talent we are all used to.

You are bang on ! Not to mention the injuries sustained to the rest of the team have thrown the ship at the reef and we are about to break apart. Trading Burr will not get what we need from somewhere else. We need to ride out this giant rogue wave of injuries and brutal bounces, regroup in the off season and possibly make some moves when the seas aren't so rough ?

Totally :D those Oiler Homers bashed our entire team for every second of airtime they had. I do like the idea of trading for Ladd though, very appealing.
