I think we've seen Sutter is best on a shutdown line, and we've seen Green likes to use him that way. My guess is Gagne will get a shot to center that offensive line. If Pettersson is on the team he's probably playing with Brock and Bo. That line really needs a playmaker, couldn't be a better fit IMO.

I really hope Jake gets to play with Bo or Gaudette this season. Imagine if instead of Bo or Jake doing mad dashes by themselves, they had someone that could actually keep up.

I do think Macewen takes a 4th line spot at some point. He will help with physicality. Lind isn't Macewen but he's also no shrinking violet. We basically just need help until them and the guys you mention are ready.

Fixed. Also, Interesting pick. I like the willingness to take some chances on guys that most will dismiss. Could pay off with this kid. Loved watching his dad play, a big part of Jersey's cup wins.

Virtanen is best off the rush and playing a north south game. Really like to see him play with Gaudette, could be a handful.

We have better wingers in the system than ever before. Gaudette is also frequently compared to Kesler but is a much better player than Kesler was at his age. It's hard to compare. Yes we don't have the Sedins, but we have some other elements we've never had before. I would also argue Demko is regarded as a star in the making, so our goaltending is looking quite good.

He put on a lot of muscle last off season. It seemed to me that he lost a step and it took most of the season for him to get on track. Thought Stecher was great the last couple months.

He's also already stronger and has better body positioning than Petterson. Our D sucks, if he wants to play in the NHL this season he will. I think it's fine either way. A year with Tanev while he's still around would be great for Hughes, but so would playing with his brother and world juniors.

He is one year away tops. He could play this year, but it would be good for him to go back to the NCAA and play in the world juniors.

In 2 years our PP is going to be absolutely insane. If we can find a RHD with a good shot for Quinn and Elias to feed passes to along with Brock....Dear lord.

Nice game he had today. Hopefully not the last game of the tournament for EP, but very well could be with some bonafide NHL talent coming in.

This is the same management that gifted Virtanen a spot as an 18 year old when he had no business being in the league, a decision which set him back at least a year in development. I like a lot of what JB/TL have done, but there have been blunders..

So... random thought. I'v been trying to think of anyone that used the toe drag like EP does. He does it so often and so effectively, I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it. We see it all the time from great shooters to change the angles of a shot, or on the rush with speed to beet a defender. But the way EP does it from almost a dead stop to change direction or body position is just sublime.

Didn't get to see the game today, my main concern was him not moving his feet and using his speed last game. When he uses his speed his lack of strength is far less of an issue. Sounds like he was able to sort that out today which is a great sign.

I would have to agree about his line, not really a fan either.

Yeah, but he needs to play better too. Can't count the number of times he stopped moving his feet as soon as he got the puck. He still managed to make some nice plays, but definitely didn't play his game for whatever reason.

Would like to see him get his feet moving and use his speed.

The skill is there, but he's getting pushed off the puck almost every time. It's going to be hard for him to be effective if he's not going to get any powerplay time.
