  1. Hockey trade moving a winger for a shutdown RD and I'll be happy.
  2. Language filter got traded to Montreal for future considerations.
  3. Numbers are pretty reasonable compared to what got handed out this summer for worse players. Happy it's resolved and we can focus on hockey.
  4. Rielly never learned how to play defence and belongs in the AHL. He's worse than useless.
  5. AHL would be fine. I'm not opposed to trading him, just not for another Hunt/Pouliot/Larsen. Any defenceman who can't play defence is simply not welcome here.
  6. I'm not sure if there's any other draft where the entire top 5 were busts.
  7. The problem is his play in his own zone. Analytics are absolutely useless for evaluating defensive ability. After watching him play, it's very clear it's extremely unlikely that his play in his own zone will ever approach an acceptable standard for an NHL blueliner. Trading something of value for a defenceman who can't play defence is not something that should be considered.
  8. Finally gives them an NHL quality blueliner other then Nurse, although not a very good one.
  9. Well to be fair, Toronto and Chicago both hired GM's less qualified than the average poster on here.
  10. Edmonton is an AHL team other than McDiver and Draisitl, and clearly don't have an issue with employing players who constantly disgrace the sport. They don't count. No actual NHL team would take a chance on an obese floater who shouldn't be allowed within 500 feet of a school.
  11. Ducks. Exciting lineup that should be taking another step forward and will have a lot of battles with our core.
  12. I'd rather keep Pearson for anything less than a second, and I wouldn't put in a waiver claim for Lundvist. Bottom line is that I don't want more defensive liabilities on our blueline.
  13. Pearson can still get you something of value instead of this pylon. After seeing him play, he has little to no chance of ever learning how to actually play defence. He's another Pouliot/Hunt/Del Zotto/Larsen. We don't want any more of those guys, especially not at the expense of NHL quality players.
  14. I liked what I saw last year. Unfortunately he got stuck with Hunt a lot which really wasn't setting him up for success.
  15. Why would we be giving up anything for a defenceman who can't play defence, regardless of size?
  16. Yeah, who here hasn't had legal issues with alleged sexual assault and been so lazy they pissed away a chance to be one of the best in the world at their chosen profession? He'll fit right in on the Oilers where being a scumbag is encouraged.
  17. Hard pass. Complete liability in his own zone and too small. We don't need another Pouliot.
  18. Depends on which prospects are involved. I'd probably be ok with a guy like Mercer over nothing. If it's Lundvist I'll get my pitchfork ready.
  19. It's a lot better than hunting through the bargain bin for a QB like we have been doing since Manning retired.
  20. He couldn't put it together on a team with solid veteran leadership. Now he's going to a team without a single respectable player and a locker room cancer wearing the C? Who's going to teach him how to act like a professional?
  21. Going the other way and taking the single is a lost art in general.
  22. I hate to think what the last 6 months have been like for him, after giving up everything to make the world a better place. His undoing was that he wasn't ruthless enough towards the men he upset as a result. The world would be a very different place if he had managed to retain power.
