  1. Calling him replacement level implies that letting him play NHL games would be acceptable. It isn't; this guy is almost as bad as Petan.
  2. More stating that I don't know what that Jfresh idiot is trying to say, but no one who has ever watched Vesey play would want him on their team. He does literally nothing well enough to justify a spot in an NHL lineup.
  3. I don't need some chart made by an analytics dweeb to realize that Vesey is only offensive to people who want their 4th liners to not be useless.
  4. Gimme Larry Robinson or Denis Potvin first. Lidstrom was good but for me overall includes some physicality
  5. Hate to see what he'd do to his wife with modern weight training. He'd get banned for life with the BS he pulled off the ice.
  6. Same rules for everyone. I wouldn't mind seeing Cahlgary get handicapped with this contract, especially once he gets to know the city, the fanbase, and the coach and demands a trade to a men's team.
  7. I rooted for injuries. I would cheer for North Korea's national team before I'd support either of those franchises.
  8. I was going to say Hasek due to him coming over later in his career as well but I can imagine him driving the goalie coach insane. I do wonder if today's D would be able to stand up to the physicality of a Lindros. I'm glad Hughes doesn't have to go out against him.
  9. I'd also like to see how many suspensions Gordie Howe would get over the course of his career under today's rules.
  10. Larionov. Incredibly smart player and we missed out on his prime due to the iron curtain.
  11. They won't even make the playoffs. Entire team played over their heads last year and they still didn't manage to get rid of one of their locker room cancers in Lucic. Replacing the turtle and the midget with men is a start, but they still have to find a way to get rid of the inbred hunchback.
  12. Ladd and Okposo as well. Probably the worst UFA class of all time.
  13. I'm being generous by calling that hellhole one of the worst cities, although Edmonton has to be in the mix. I'm 100% serious when I say that no one in their right mind who is well off would want to live in a ****hole like that filled with the ignorant pieces of **** that cheer for the Flames; I feel sorry for Huberdeau's family. This makes Miller's last year more valuable as a rental if anything.
  14. So all of his idiocy off the field can be blamed on drugs?
  15. Boudreau's players respect him; Sutter got locked out of his own dressing room because he's a complete scumbag. The Flamers got damn lucky if they managed to find someone who actually likes living in one of the worst cities in North America in front of the worst people in the country. Most players have more self-respect than that, including Miller.
  16. Shouldn't be as expensive for 2 reasons: Playing under Boudreau is a hell of a lot preferable to playing under Sutter Vanvouver's a nice city to live in, while Calgary is an absolute dump full of inbred imbeciles. Huberdeau got an extra couple of million to play in that dump
  17. Paid at least 2 million extra to have to play in that hellhole of a city.
  18. He at least paid his dues under Burke as an assistant. Gillis did literally nothing to suggest he had any aptitude for working in a hockey ops role.
  19. He got us there based on a core built by qualified management. Gillis himself was the one who decimated the team with his atrocious drafting and trades. If we had a GM who actually understood the sport instead of Gillis, we likely win the Cup that year. I wouldn't trust that idiot to run a Burger King.
  20. Any kind of retention over that period of time is simply not acceptable under any circumstances. That one trade summed up just how incompetent that unqualified clown was.
  21. Even still, the contract is too long to allow management to cripple the franchise like that.
  22. Yep. Should have been fired for even suggesting it, but Aquilini let that idiot handicap the team for a decade. Let's not repeat that mistake.
  23. Retaining salary on OEL long-term would net the need to fire the entire management team on the spot. That's almost as bad as Gillis being stupid enough to retain salary on the Luongo trade.
