    I'd add Robinson to that list. Lidstrom wasn't even the best defenceman on his team for most of the Red Wings dynasty.

    Called him back up way too quickly. Leave him down until the minor league season is over.

    If this isn't announced by the regular season, sponsors need to pull out and not return until the guilty players are banned for life.

    DeAngelo is too much of a lively liability in his own zone to belong in the NHL. Torts benched him for a reason and his response made it clear that he doesn't understand that his play in his own zone isn't acceptable. You can't win a guy like that in your lineup.

    That's fair but no one is saying a weightlifter or a diver (both listed after) isn't an athlete. They aren't MMA guys (who should be higher on that list) but I have a ton of respect for what they do, especially the endurance racers.

    Then explain why cowards like Tkachuk turtle when it's time to answer the bell.

    Crow brought a lot of fans back to the team after the Keenan debacle. He was a big reason that team became great and the team could have easily moved if it had gone the other way.

    Also a big part of why I really disliked Hull growing up, besides him playing for the US internationally. After seeing stories about what kind of man he is, I've changed my mind completely. Those Dallas teams were stacked but overshadowed by Colorado and Detroit being in the same conference. I think the whole hockey world was rooting for Buffalo there.

    It's about buying in as a team. Working pitch counts and trying for a higher batting average instead of swinging for the fences. The lack of hustle is a symptom of a culture that isn't what's needed to win when it matters.

    Personally I'd be benching anyone who didn't hustle out of the box until the team culture changes, but I'm a pretty old-school guy regarding effort in professional sports.

    Going to be real interesting to see what happens in the room considering they have a documented racist already on the roster.

    I tuned out as soon as it became clear that he wasn't going to stop disgracing the franchise on and off the ice.

    Was never a fan but the marketing department was sure pumping his tires at the time.

    This would be more interesting if it was for second biggest disappointment. Messier was so hyped up and then was a locker room cancer in addition to playing like complete trash.

    I'd rather Miller but didn't want two righties on D and really would love to see that top line.
