LA plays solid fundamental hockey with an edge, far from boring. Edmonton's top players, meanwhile, need a tourist visa to enter the defensive zone. Easy to cheer against a team that makes a mockery of the sport.

I think we can trust Burke to do the right thing. I'd also think Francis, Granato, Sakic, and Robataille would be willing to keep him out.
Kings in 6. Edmonton still has only two actual NHLers on their blueline and a captain who refuses to either backcheck or play like a man. The experience that LA has will be the key.
I'm grateful for how much of himself Cheech put into his work. He explains things so clearly without talking down to the audience, and brings so much humour with his personal stories and quips. Often, it felt like he was watching the game with you. He's one of the best to ever do it and we are lucky to have had him.
That would be a repeat of the Messier fiasco where a locker room cancer is brought in and given a leadership role. You don't want that worthless sack of $#@+ anywhere near g young players.
Those issues in Vancouver are a lot less problematic when you make an NHL salary as well. The homeless population isn't setting up shop in West Van. The high cost of living is a direct function of being a desirable location.
I liked how humble and gracious he was. He and Shorty were so good together...really going to be strange for awhile. Wish him all the best...he's devoted a lot of years to this team and deserves some quality family time now.
