  1. LA beating Edmonton wouldn't be an upset. LA actually has an NHL quality blueline and experienced veteran leadership. Edmonton has AHL trash and a captain who refuses to backcheck or play like a man. Seatlle is also deeper and has a far better blueline than the Oilers. Edmonton will be lucky to win a single round unless McDiver decides to prioritize winning instead of throwing tantrums.
  2. I'm good with SOB. He's an entertaining guy and obviously a former Canuck. I'm fine with Ferraro too.
  3. Consistency within the same game. The home plate umpire can go over the strike zone before the game with the managers, or it could be submitted electronically. The pitchers already know which umps have larger strike zones anyway. I'd rather go full robot than continue with the status quo, but I think the game is changing too fast and alienating a lot of long-term fans in the process.
  4. I think letting the ump program their own strike zone (within reason) is a compromise that works to keep the human element.
  5. The problem is once they get drunk, the of the local livestock are in serious jeopardy of getting the wrong kind of cow prod.
  6. Not to mention keeping a locker room cancer in Lucic. Sadly, they will be a lot better next year after that inbred hunchback is gone. They still won't belong in a men's league, but they will likely be improved.
  7. I really hope he gets traded in the off-season so he doesn't have to put up with the BS like this. He may be overpaid but he's still a valuable guy on and off the ice.
  8. Not with Nurse and Ekholm as the only actual NHL blueliners, along with a locker room cancer as the captain. All LA has to do is hit McDiver at every opportunity so he gets intimidated and focuses on throwing tantrums instead of hockey. Experience matters and LA has winners as opposed to the gutless trash Edmonton has for a "leadership" group.
  9. Still first year in the NHL. Nylander has been in the league long enough to know that his effort level is simply not acceptable.
  10. National games usually mean that Sportsnet allows Singh to disgrace the country with his lack of professionalism. Keep that worthless sack of **** off the air and let the Johns do their thing.
  11. He's a rookie and has at least shown that he's willing to try. He's nowhere near the level of a gutless coward who refuses to break a sweat and is terrified of the puck. As long as the Leafs allow Nylander to play the way he does, they have no chance of ever succeeding in the playoffs.
  12. He would be in the press box until he decided to put in an acceptable effort. That floater makes LE look like a workaholic. You can't have someone like that around if you want a culture of accountability. Ehlers was the good pick in that range.
  13. Brock is one of the best people in the league. I don't see how the award goes to anyone other than Letang though.
