Come on nothings impossible

It's tough to rank Woo. I thought McWard looked comfortable, do we get a RHD in the draft. A lot of balls in the air right now, who knows what the lottery offers. Woo just needs to do his best, he's wasted two seasons already. Is this last season a one off or were the two previous the real player ????

I have some high hopes for McWard, saying that probaly condems him to the life of an AHL'er. But to me he seems like he's a kid that has been coached well through his formative years. He can only improve under the guidance of Colliton. Good size/weight and has a good understandingof his position..... IMO

Despite being ham strung wit the Cap I believe a glimmer of logic from PA. Dare i say I have some hope

Yes to Bennings arroganance but I tend t think his arrogance as more scared of others showing him up, not the sharpest knife in the draw. What Brackett did was he imposed a system into the scouting process. It has to the best of my knowledge been continued by Todd Harvey. It ranks propscr for the draft by defined criteria.

If the current play-offs illustratre anything it that speed is essential. I know most believe that (?) but man the play-offs have shown it so well

A rational and thoughfull comment.

Any one can take the face off, it's simply a metter of changing your alignment at the dot. Years ago the Canucks used to have face off competitions. The guy that generally won was Curt Fraser (LW) for those that don't recall Fraser. When Miller and EP are on the same line it's often Miller, the winger, that frequently step up and EP takes his place as a winger on the draw. It's not rocket science IMO

Sadly I don't see where Podkolzin fits. He seems unlikely to play special teams so far and so you start to think of him as a vanilla type of player. He has 1 year left on his ELC before he becomes a RFA. So it might be better to move hm under those condition than weight for his salary to go up. There's a surplus of wingers who need to be moved, maybe he's one of them

I recall an interview with Brett Hull and he was asked if he used a 100 or 110 flex stick ( which was pretty common in those days ) and Brett laughed and said heck no I use a 65 It was a time when i was trying to have my children look at a lower flex. Often D'men used a 100 flex at that time ( slap shots and cross checking LOL ) Times have chnaged ad the speed of the game makes it less likely to take a slap shot today, you simply rarely get the time

You're right IMO. The difference Brackett made was not so much each selection he made but the system he installed for assessing talent each on a equal no bias footing. I believe the system he implemented was in part the reason ToddHarvey has seen a seemless transition

I might add IMO OEL is standing in the way of others better suited for todays game. I thought for the brief appearnce of both Hiroke and McWard they were better than those they are fighting to replace. I could see aftr maybe half a season of continuous playing at the NHL level they will more than prove their worth to the club both now and certainly for the future. The question is can or will management make that happen or simply revert to the success now is the team mantra. Need to watch the decissions come September

I hope some one who follows the Abby Canucks will let the rest of us know how Jonasson looks when or if he get's into the line up. Thanks

You use what you're used to

If you're looking for defense then Brisebois ranks higher than Wolanin IMO. IMO we need more D than O

I undrstand that RT is trying to develop his over all game and that's good. To me he's like a top 5 draftpick that we got for free. There's not many players of this ilk you can pick off the market. I tend to think what you see is what you get I can't see him changing his game that muchin the future

I tend to think Burroughs might flourish under the Tocchet regime. He'll have a defined role nothing complicated
