Naw Alf simply recognizes intelligence

I guess both methods have their detractors. To me they have both made extreme choices. I don't think either ownership or JB liked people that were too smart for them to influence. JR has spread the future bad decissions. It might be a case of paralysis by analysis
-
At very least JR comes with years experience in the GM's role. JB not so much, ditto Green
-
Here's the thing JB burdened the club year after year with Green then fired a great capologist Gilman, fired Brackett and drafted Juolevi and Virtanen. The list of lousy UFA for a lot of money and long term, a list too long. The good point if you're the owner I believe he came cheap

I'm not one to defend JR & Co. But the fact is they've done this in what 8 months and you're ready to throw the babyout with the bath water, A little harsh to my way of thinking. Try to trade bad quality players such as Dickinso and Pollman is a fools errand. NO one, no one, want that low quality player, you'd have to throw ina draft ick to move those two... just take them. Bening consistently messed up for 8 year, there's a difference

Take care of yourself and your family close to you

I hate to say this but none the less it's true. Every year for the last 49 year drafts that i have witnessed, post draft comments have said the same thing. "were surprised that this player was still there, we had him rated much higher !! " indeed I could easily be persuaded to believe each team says the same

Frankly IMO Poolman is a no hoper. Gudbranson had one outstanding quality annd it give him a career. And then he hooked up with Sutter who re taught him the game that fitted his other limited skills. Gudbranson should pay Sutter a commission

Sadly every one knows the enrollment in minor hockey is falling because of the expense and yet here's Hockey Canada stashing away millions rather than lower enrollment fees. Bad management. As to JV I doubt he can chew gum and tie his shoes laces at the same time

Yeah I read the same, she's quite the equestrian and was to compete in the USA National Championships, I also believ she won an event. As to Demko the best draft pick JB ever made IMO, not a first rounder that fell into his lap

Until last season Miller had never had 99pts, Frankly I believe it's doubtful he'll do it again.Plus there's no long line up of clubs fighting for his signature, so I presume they think the same. I like him a lot and believe if he fails to repeat next season Vcr will resign him at a much lower salary then currently envisaged

Unpopular decissions, too many to list, but I sure took a lot of grief over getting rid of Juolevi

Good player, but, doesn't progress the game

Every team needs a constant supply of ELC or similar, obviously for Cap reasons alone. Vcr has none for next season unless I'm mistaken, maybe the following season Myrenberg may be the exception

Is the team any closer to having an identity?

For any one that experienced the USSR it's a mystery how many actually adapted to the Western life style. I felt for Krutov, likely an unsophisticated person. The USSR was like a sci-fi horror movie. Scary and big brother watching your every move. People were treated much like trained dogs -
Raymond was a parimeter player

Gotta be careful some guy were not born to be leaders You can some times get a read during interviews If for instance you have a good level B guy and you promote him to a level A position you end up with a poor lever A and in need of a level B replacement ie you're worse off -

JT had a 99 pt season, I do nnot believe he will that again next season, His value may well decrease and Vcr signs him at a figure they can afford -
At last a great question

Amy one else notice his father is taller, quite unusual, may have an inch or two to go

Speeds a funny thing, remember when Donald Brashear was the fastest skater ( straight line ) but Bure could be at full speed after only 2-3 strides
