  1. Meet the New Canucks: Ian Cole (msn.com)
  2. Here's the catch, none of us have to meet with FA face to face and his own demands
  3. I recently watched a video on Spoftsnet Called "who are the winners and loser amongst Canadian Team:" Well it became apprent tht Nick either doze off in class or he's takem one too many blows to the head.I spoke 3 times about TO made fleeting mention of Mtl and Ottawa and di squeeze one reference to an Ontario kid who had been signed by theOilers. Asto Winnpeg, Calgary and Vcr, well apprently they must reside in the USA because he excluded them. That sums up Sportsnet for me
  4. When I listened to Sasson there was one immediate thing that stood out to me, he's real smart. That's huge, I doubt you need to explain things twice to this guy. I think you can trust he'll be in great shape and ready to go
  5. Regardless of size I think he's a bit of a forgotten man. Personally I think he's really going surprise a few people when he's finished in the OHL

    Charmin/soft?

You some times have to feel for giants like Myers or maybe Soucy, to often they get called for a head hit becuase of their height
  7. King actually went through a couple of regime chnages, which looks good on him. The only reports I read he was both likd and respected. I'm sure Brackett would put in a good word. Funny though Greens reappeared as has King but nothing in the offing for JB
  8. It was a 4th round pick. What do you have to loose. Time and develpment might result in good things for the guy
  9. Yeah Kellan Lain, Bieska pushed him out the way at centre because he was up clearly out matched by Kevin Westgarth ( westgarth and Beska were friend ) Later in the brawl Laine did match up againsy Westgarth and did OK
  10. I believe both Ian Cole and Soucy are also comfortable on both sides
  11. I trust you understand the history to this. First came the 18 year old draft which ultimately brough a lot of uncertainly with it. This was brought about by a player, namely Ken Linesman who threatend to sue the NHL unless the age was reduced to18 year old. Following that young ( 18 year olds ) were free to negoiate there own salary ( no ELC ) and often for players with zero proof of ability demanded veryhigh salaries to sign. Teams complained they were beingheld hostage by players basically with no standing in the league. Hnce when the new contract wasvsigned the chnage was initiated
  12. I've watched this kid for the last couple of years and keep thinking how come Vcr doesn't sign a player like him or Irwin him self. He's no Hughes, he's not a difference maker but he's a solid defender who can eat up a lot in minutes without the coach being too concerned. He's big and players a NA style
  13. That scrub has been a regular NHL D'man for the last 8 season. I'm sorry you seem unaware of the player. One thing for sure Vcr's D is alot bigger next season and tougher
  14. Irwin has been a regularin the NHL for the last 8 years. 6'2/200. The D next season is going to look a lot better and bigger than last season. I like Irwin ( kid from the Island) Soucy, is solid and younger. Ian Cole played the 3rdmost miniuted in TB last season (I think he may well resign) lots of extra time for prospects and I really like that. No panick and time for prospects to reach their peak. It does look like Willander will have 2 seasons at BC/NCAA
  15. Both Soucy and Cole IMO are good signings. Every thing starts from the back end, then centre and last of all wingers which is why we have so many of them, teams don't put a high value on wingersso they're available and it's why it's hard to trade BB & Garland. I'm sure the PK will be better, that alone will be a boost. Tocchet is only missing one component a centte who can calm things down ie a little more grit, not a good just more push back in the scrums
  16. I like they followed through and resigned Kratsov
  17. You must remember that prior to leaving Boston JB would have seen the Boston scouts ranking. Naw! he had the time just the lack of ability. I'm betting Boston would not have ranked Vitanen very high and in fact Button ranked JV in the second round
  18. Plus move up? makes it sound so easy. It isn't if you move up you need to entice the the pick
  19. Does Willlander ELC fall under EU rules of NCAA rules
  20. The question has to be asked is he better than Burroughs, for management to decide. you can't carry both IMO. IMO Burroughs having playes in Vcr he has the edge ?
  21. One thing that is certain we will be told ( who ever we select ) we had him rate higher, we're surprised he was still there at 11th spot.
  22. Comparing theHronek trade with this trade maybe looks a little suspect Arizona Coyotes acquire defenseman Sean Durzi from Los Angeles Kings - Daily Faceoff
  23. Tocchet wanted a centre who could "settle things down" and good on F/O's I think we should keep that in mind. Ryan Reeves is an UFA
  24. Tocchet said he wanted a centre who could "settle things down" and a good F/O guy. I dn't see either
