  1. Not true, I've supported the team and had Season tickets since 1973 and I can tell you there's been a lot of bad hockey in those years. The Pacific Coloseum was frequently half full and there were serious talk about moving the franchise, but I hung in, I'm sure you can recall those times
  2. That's not true. Do some thing good, I applaud, do some thing nuts I complain. Pretty simple concept
  3. Who knows maybe I am. I try to view thing without bias for or against a player, I'm certainly not a pom pom waiving cheerleader... but the I'm guess you new that already. Some tend to get upset when i don't follow the flock. That's OK
  4. I always thought Sautner was like a forgotten man. IMO he played well enough during his run in the NHL to warrant a lot more attention. But despite his low Cap hit he's been passd over. I suppose his agent would have reviewed other offer and opportunities. Iliked what he brought which was mostly consistency
  5. This was a gamble for Persson to join the WHL by him and his advisor. I tend to think it's just what he needs in fact it would be nice if some other prospect learned to battle in the WHL/CHL. It develops their understand of what is needed to play in Canada on and off the ice. Good on him to test himself. He's going to be looked at a lot by the scouts
  6. Because ..... some fans live in the real world while other have family members called Polly Anna
  7. Got it, thanks. Kind of funny most trades are completed on the basis of a full medical review by both teams
  8. Where is OJ. He's not included on the Florida line up and neither is he on the Charlotte line up ??? and I agree if OJ wasn't good enough to to crack the Vcr blue line waht chnace does he have with the #1 team in the league ... good luck Hey maybe he's back in EU ? does any one know
  9. Don't under estimate the forum fans to manufactor excuses, they're the best, no one evn comes close
  10. I only watched Focht for one pre season game but was pretty impressed with what he brought. Certainly not the polished player and has more development to go but shows all the right signs
  11. He, JB, dipped his toe in the water when he hired Shaw IMO. What stood out to me last night was the down low coverage by the D. Hunt was puck watching and not taking an oppoenant and Schenn was all over the ice, some times out to his on blue line. That has to be on the coaches IMO
  12. I think Millers is reading his own press clippings, I didn't like the that he told Horvat to get out of the face off, Horvat is the Captain and a pretty good player in his own right
  13. I would feel better if I new the officials are accountable. There's been some crucial missed or bad calls. eg when the puck was lying free behind the Detroit net and EP was going to tap it in. That was bad positioning by the ref, and it turned out to be a crucial issed call
  14. From what I've been told you can pick up your paper tickets at the Toyota Ticket booth on the plaza as of last Thursday. I'm picking mine up today ( I hope LOL )
  15. Game management has the NHL bordering on WWF. I see better officiating in minor hockey, the kids (official) don't count penalties just call what they see
  16. I understood OJ problems I'm guess in 2 years ago ( he can't pivot left ) it was clear to me and yet numerous fans felt impelled to impress us with their huge list of excuses. I understood he would be cut and or traded but the bit that fascinated me was how would his faithful cheerleaders excuse themselves from the facts. I give them credit for keeping faith where none was deserved but couldn't wait to hear the stories and excuses that would follow. Truthfully I expected better
  17. How many times do you see Smith run interferance behind the goal, nothing ever called
  18. What I have difficulty with is the "No goal call" Hoglander was outside of the blue paint and has a right to his ice/space. I know he bumped into Griess but it looked like incidental contact.
  19. I don't have to concern myself about OJ. My view has been confirmed. Now what surpised me was the fans who couldn't see the kids lack of abilities. They were told by media that OJ, the first round pick, would be great and like willing sheep being lead to the abattoir they followed along never trusting their own eyes or taking a critical look
  20. That could well be the case, lets hope for his sake
  21. Dowling has the advantage of playing all 3 forward positions including centre, and he kills PK and PP
  22. I tend to think his comfort level is not there yet (?) but so far so good. Steady IMO is his best assett
  23. He's a vet and he's big ( 6'4" ) and doesn't seem to take stupid penalties
