  1. Misguided, maybe. But lying on the ice doing snow angels does tell you some thing
  2. I hope he's attending all his classes, if I know any thing about NCAA hockey it's primarily a 2 line game, primarily seniors. He can work his way up and I hope he does
  3. Sure that's no problem, but drawing a salary which he can't fulfill and maybe spoiling another players opportunity is not good. The Oilers signed Ceci for $250 k more. Harmonic may be marginally the better player but not when he's sitting at home
  4. But again when did he know he had a problem ? Was there no medical when he re-signed by a competant medical staff. This problem is man made
  5. Who cares? being over come by Covid is an accident .... unforeseeable. Harmonic we new the problem in advance, he's had this concern going back years with his child, frankly he's an disaster waining to happen. If it came down to child or hockey Harmonic new what his decission would be. Personally I think thats deception, maybe fraud
  6. Come on man you didn't need to be a swammi to fore see what was coming down the line. I'm sure both th NHL and the PA were involved long before the annoucement. Both Harmonic and JB would be appraised of the what would be agreed to, sorry I don't buy that. Any agent worth his salt understood. And to be honest Harmonic does have prior history. He might be better than say Ceci (Oilers) but Ceci is playing and we may never see Harmonic
  7. Frankly it's not good that Harmonic has a child with health issues, however, he had those problems when he was with Calgary, this is not any thing new, he declined the play-offs. Both parties new of the predicament but it seems like one party was not telling the truth? The NHL had made it clear what covid rules would apply, no secret there and yet JB was I guess mislead or dreaming. Frankly they were tied by the Cap with only Harmonic being within the budget constraints. Now here we are the begining of the season and we're a genuine D'man down. It's not good enough, this is bad planning. If you owned the club how would you view this. Sure it's nice to be nice but this is a business and you must be thinking success first and fore most or you become an also ran. Harmonic is the only one that knows what he was thinking when he signed, maybe his agent. I'd guess other GM's are laughing
  8. He was a 4th round pick ?
  9. The best success by drafted players that arrived already developed ie EP, BB,NH, QH with the exception of Demko. I just don't see which youngster that were drafted and then developed in the farm team and become succesul NHL players. There' mus be some but I just can't call them to mind
  10. I've been slagged for a number years about my views on OJ. So many read hype rather than have the courage to assess a player themselves. Even when the Canucks made the worse possible financial value of his skills posters still made excuses to some how turn that around into meaning it's a positive. I have nothing against OJ, he's done more than most, but the fct is he came up short. Maybe still make a good living playing in another league
  11. In your dreams. Folks, zealots refuse to understand the reason OJ didn't make it was his lack of agility plus apprently being delussional about how a NHL player trains and fitness levels.
  12. In 8 years JB picked McCann, Vertanin and Juolevi and traded away 2 first round picks = 5 lost selection in 8 years, this from the draft guru plus of course he had Brackett dismissed
  13. Juolevi, no one believed me, he just isn't NHL calbre. Defient in his skating and it appears his dedication to fitness
  14. Hodgson as a hockey player was pretty good, if his back didn't elimanate him from the NHL ( his attitde didn't do him many favours either )
  15. One report tells OJ is no longer practising with the team. Don't follow the hype look and judge. He's not a career NHL'er. Arizona might pick him up if he goes on waiver but even that is questionable, get used to it
  16. There's a reason you might lose OJ for nothing, no one wants him. I'm sure JB is working hard on trying to move players maybe for low end draft picks. Every team has aOJ on their roster at this time of the year
  17. I don't know what Sautners minor league salary is, I believe lt was $200K last season
  18. I predict that MacEen will take a long slow skate down the Oilers bench tonight with a smile plastered all over his face
  19. True but certain players fill certain roles and the roles for Pod/Klim are filling out fast, IMO
  20. You'd be surprised how few. You have to remember Gretzky was a lacross playerinhis youth
  21. I really don't know the history of his line mates on other teams but IMHO he needs to play with players that are skilled and think the game at the same speed. If they give him that chnace he could be a keeper. Maybe a modern day Cliff Ronning who also waited a long time to become a full time NHL player. He clearly has a lot of skill
  22. The question is "Is he good enough to compete with Podkolzyn" for a spot
  23. As I understand the fight was about retribution for MacEwen bumping Smith, Kaasian wanted the fight and now wishes he hadn't. Stupid play by Kassian, he might be out with Concussion protocol. Kassian alternate career is not as a rocket scientist
  24. I think some times we make the simple things difficult. Keep the best player on the roster ...... if you want to judge success with winning hockey
