The Oilers always used to great effect the "Lacross" man chnage. The guy going off came in one gate and the guy going on used the other gate gaining likely 50' advantage and often getting behind the opponents D

I tend to think both he and Bowey have learned to play within their own limitations. On another teams I have doubts either would be considered but as Vcr has failed to overall strengthen its defensr they might be abale to break in. The magic bean may be Shaw developing these two

I thought that Focht played pretty well, nothing spectacular but not many errors either, he's destined for Abby but I think it's a pat on the back for the kid. MacEwen strikes me is a player that needss a lot of ice time to show his game, he's big and jjst needs ice time too succeed

I see Kole Lind was also waived by Seattle

I think Burroughs maybe pushed the play a little more but in all honesty it's tough to say but Bowey played a steady game, I didn't notice a lot of errors. He kept it simple and maybe that's a touch of maturity, understanding your own strengths and weaknesses. He was a high draft pick if I recall. As they say about Ref's you rarely notice good officials and that might be true of Bowey

Not much entertainment for a Canuck fan, in fact I switched to another channel long before the end. Clearly sorting some bottom 6 roles before they reach the 23 man roster. However what I did like was Justin Dowling, clearly NHL category. Podkolzyn looked a little better ( based on his one move of Giodano ) but still not at NHL level ( IMO )

Sorry sonny I don't drink either and although I have to visit Winnipeg occassionally I'm certainly no Jets fan, although I do believe they're a good team
-
Sorry to tell you this I was at the game last night and have no idea who or what the Johns highlights are, no media prompts for me

They have Taveres untill 2025 at $11mill, he's 31 this season
-
Maybe, I understand he's an anti vaccine guy due to I believe religous beliefs. Difficult to compromise on your beliefs
-
I don't believe Bowey looked out of place, kept his game reasonably simple but got the job done. Maybe it's maturity
-
It's going to be tough for Harmonic it's clearely going against his beliefs and it will be difficult to over come that IMO
-
The two major gaffs made by Rathbone were good plays, a potential give and go, but poorley executed. He thinks the game better than most IMO. OEL showed well and makes JB's trade look more respectable although Graland didn't shine

[GDT/PGT] Pre-Season Jets @ Canucks Sunday, Oct. 3/21 - 4:00 PM Rogers Arena
Fred65 replied to -DLC-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Likes and dislikes. There were no game sheets and with so many new players made things difficult and I have no idea who was on the Jets defence. Podkolzin looked no better than many new faces. OEL looked very good Rathbone made two glaring errors but the actual errors were good moves only poorly executed Petan looked really engaged, good skills, but don't hold your breath, other will catch up IMO Bowey didn't look out of place. Halak impressed me. The team looked fast, certainly faster than the Jets, that might chnage as others catch up. They had Winnipeg on their backfoot for long periods -
A tough call IMO. You'd like to see him in a position where he can really really suceed IMO. He ain't going to get a lot of English in Northern Quebec

Think first of who the opposition is, Bentley not a household name in NCAA hockey

That coach may well be Cull

Rather than Taveres, Dubas should have put all his efforts/Cap space into findinga quality D'man. The concept of we can outscore our problems is a false one

If it's the same next season sad to say but after 48 years as a STH I'm out, enough already. Getting in to Rogers today is going to be a nightmare, thankfully it's during the day, warm and sunny. My wife ( just out of hospital ) can't stand for very long so in the end we may just turn around and go home. As to the $25 charge, think about it. There was no charge for papers tickets last year and now for their on convience they go digital ( to save for themselves ) and have the audacity to charge a fee. Simply out of touch with fans out there
-
In the end my daughter visited and used her Cel Phone, you know what I'm thinking? This shouldn't be so difficult, I spend all this money and still you want me to spend more on a Cel phone and have an account with Ticket Master ( which I don't want) I presume they're reducing staff by goingall digital, but I suspect there's going to be road kill that goes along with it

Wow! how many know about much of this
