  1. This is probably one of the best placed GIFs I've seen in a while Jim will be raising the cup before this contract is through.
  2. Sigh... you summed it up pretty well Despite all of this, I do believe that he's quite experienced and definitely brings positive value to our coaching staff. Man I remember being in 4th 5th and 6th grade (2002-2004) all the girls loved him... He's still pretty handsome but in his prime he should have been the face of the bachelor Loved his feisty side too. I remember going crazy as a kid watching this. Really glad this is the kind of guy that's on our coaching staff. 1:40 in ... funny how its Bertuzzi of all people coming to calm him down edit: shorthouse just had more excitement in his voice back in the day... I feel like he's lost it a tad
  3. Michael is gonna have a spectacular career with the Canucks.
  4. Love this thread. Love the energy. I voted Ferkland, going to the net hard. Love all the love for Loui :D
  5. Sharp VS Luongo... I seem to remember it differently Game 7... Over time... Stone job that led to the Burrows slaying. Cloutier did pretty well in regular season... He's our goalie coach right?
  6. Simply one of the greatest Canucks on and off the ice. I don't go to many games a year but I'll certainly be at that Ottawa game. Just to give him the standing O. Legends are never forgotten.
  7. Alex Edler is going to cement himself as this franchises greatest dman in the next two years of this contract. Say what you want about Alex, but he took a huge discount on term and AAV to play in a city he loves. This guy loves this town. He exercised his NTC and I'll respect him for life for it... Especially considering the big discount he gave. He wants to win here. He will win here. My advice to people would be, draft Alex early. Especially if your league has hits and blocks. I could see him passing 45-55 points in the next year and after.
  8. Brock is gonna have a special season. The oracle has spoken

    Shotgun Jake

Not sure if this is the energy we should be putting towards Jake. All it can do is make him more likely to drink beers and shotgun more so than if we didn't call him that. He should be more focused on health and not drinking... But yea the nickname has a nice ring to it I just don't think it gives off positive energy to see him succeed.
  10. I honestly had 0 clue who these guys were... But I was sold on them because they're Scandinavians and all seemed to have pretty decent resumes We'd like to welcome them all and see them blossom even further. As for Matt, we'd like to wish him well. We're certain he'll get more ice time this year with PK out of Nashville.
  11. Does anyone know what stick curve and/or flex pavel bure used?

I've looked a little online on his used sticks and could only notice that he used a square toe... the curve im not to certain

Would love to try his stick on the ice!

A “Center Curve” bends in mid-blade, and is the most commonly used curve. Center curve blades are used by a wide range of pro forwards, including Pavel Bure, Mike Ricci and Wendel Clark. Center curves are also used by defensemen Chris Pronger, Paul Coffey and Raymond Bourque.

      CCM straight blade LOL.

  12. Good point... Even if a team has the cap space it's a pretty big commitment. His best bet is to retain some salary on him and trade him or one of his other big ticket guys. I loled at Tom Wilson's salary but it does make sense with our point structure. Maybe he can put a pick on top so someone takes PK or any of his big ticket guys
  13. He could easily fix that team, waive PK and one other move... Someone would surely claim PK no?
  14. I'm not discounting Luongos play. For over a decade, Roberto dominated the league. I have him top 5 all time on my list. After the trade he immediately went back to vintage Luongo. If Florida wasn't such a trash franchise, he woulda made the playoffs that year. He posted 0.924 S%... Even that year in Vancouver he was doing well. His daughter had moved here and was going to school... Torts ruined it all. He chose Eddie Lack... I'm not discrediting Roberto's greatness. I challenge you to name 1 city that cheered more times for 1 single athlete in each game over 30 times a game... He had pretty much 95% of his real winning and success in Vancouver... He could have interfered with ownership and as an omen to millions that cheered him on, saved us the cap hit by going on LTIR. The funny thing here is he actually did retire because of injuries... Oh what it's like to be a Canucks fan haha
  15. All I see is backstabbing the faithful that invented cheering for a goalie 30+ times a game... We Luuud him for 8 years, night in, night out... Our millions of fans would flock to away arenas even and Luuu him. He should have shown more appreciation All I see is Roberto had all his actual success here... He had 2 playoff wins all his Florida years come on... What did this team and it's fans help him accomplish? 32 playoff wins, Back to BACK president trophies, countless division championships... I don't appreciate or respect his decision whatsoever. I'm sorry but I don't feel bad about it either. He could have done the right thing and gone on LTIR... He had multiple injuries all of which were more serious injuries than Marian Hossas.
  16. They're butt hurt they gave up on Marky and now we have a good goalie and they have a guy that's too injured and had to retire... Luongo retired because his body couldnt handle it anymore. That alone should have been enough to LTIR him. This was an act of vendetta by Luongo and Florida... Both who are clearly upset at us and wanted to make us pay. Edit: Ooooooh nvm you said Loui as in Eriksson. I thought u meant Luongo. I suggest you stop focusing negative energy on Eriksson and be at peace with it. Let it play out as it may
  17. That would go against what Luongo and the Panthers want though. Luongo had COUNTLESS on going injuries... Which is why he was so sub par this year and missed so many games. Getting Luongo on LTIR is no issue. But Luongo and the Panthers wanted to stick us with that 3 million cap hit. The way Florida sees it "they took markstrom now let's make them pay" The way Roberto sees it "this organization turned their back on me, why would I do them any favor" Makes me sick thinking about this whole situation. I need to focus my energy elsewhere
  18. I don't Wana be a jerk or anything, well Luongo was a jerk to us die hard Canucks fans that supported him through thick and thin... But... Does Roberto become the first player ever to have his # retired by a team who he accomplished almost nothing for? Other than 2 playoff wins? No hardware either... On the other hand we helped him win 32 playoff games... Jennings trophy, first team in the post salary cap Era to win Back to BACK league championships... Countless division championships... But yea lol the guy is retiring as a panther. He must love school shootings, Donald trump, and the dumpster of a city that Florida is lol! I'm clearly bitter over this. I'm not really wrong though.

    Pre-season Poll #1

Not a chance... then again they retired Pavel's after he played almost the same # of games for us... It's truly too bad no one can wear #10. Pavel should have been in RoH and not hanging in the rafters. Jersey retirements should only be for guys that display utmost loyalty throughout their careers to OUR franchise.
  20. Luongo had countless injury issues... He could have easily gone on LTIR and saved us the cap like Hossa did for Chicago. I know Luongo felt hurt by the franchise but this goes farther than that. He hurt the die hard fans that Luuu'd him 30+ times a game for almost a decade... We revolutionized cheering for a goaltender and he's put a dagger in the hearts of us die hard that supported him through EVERYTHING Luongo is probably top 5 goalie of all time, no doubt. I have him 4th on my list... Not discrediting his game. But I don't appreciate his decision to stick us with a cap hit for 3 years... It hurts our chances and worst of all, with a weaker team, the millions that cheered him on will have a lower chance of seeing our team succeed as much as we could with the extra 3 million. And for that reason he's no longer in my list of favorite players. This is coming from a guy who had him as #1 for well over 5 years of my fanhood.
  21. I'm not sure if it's Vince telling her to do this... Most girls that start getting botox, fillers, breast augumentation, etc get addicted to it and they just go over board. Looks like she's hooked. I was choked with that match too... Really wanted Trish the win
  22. The Nashville Predators are looking to utilize their cap space and acquire 1 bad contract in return for picks. Not looking to negotiate and haggle back n forth. Will accept first fair offer Offers should look something like this Cap dump player (negative value) + best pick(s) you can offer for "future considerations"
  23. Well that could be argued... He won absolutely nothing in Florida. Sure he's by far their best goalie but he still won nothing and made like no playoff appearances. Maybe one or two playoffs? It's a shame he's being retired as a panther when his only success came wearing the iconic Canucks jersey. Pavel Bure on the other hand won two rockets there... Regardless they are a dumpster organization that is nothing without the stars we built for them. Can't wait until they lose their team. Classless organization and not a very classy guy to stick us with the 3 mill cap hit.
  24. Summerslam was very solid Lol Natalya VS Becky... What a joke that result was. Garbage! Dolph VS Goldberg was funny lol... Guess they kept the match short to make sure Goldberg doesn't get injured again like he did VS taker Aj VS ricochet, two really skilled guys, annoying result but pretty much expected Ric flair segment was lolz love hearing him wooh and dance takes me back... So was r truth and mella incognito " D Wayne Gretzky" comment really cracked me up KO VS Shane was incredible Trish VS Flair was absolute bs. Amazing match by Trish... Probably one of the greatest matches I've ever seen minus the joke of a result. Trish is an icon and that result was a joke. Hope she got paid 1 mill for the match. Bray wyaatt VS Finn was silly... How do people cheer for this garbage? Is everyone 5 years old? "the fiend"... So silly and makes 0 sense... He puts his hand in ur mouth and u choke? So stupid, will fast forward any future fiend segments. Kofi VS randy was lame Seth VS Brock was alright
