Lumme remains one of my favourites to this day.  He's awesome.

@Alflives, Wellwood was chubby, not too much. Thomas Gradin and Dave Tomlinson were also there.

I miss Dave Tomlinson doing colour on the radio games.  I thought he was very good.  Wife and I went to a lot of games back in the old Colosseum days.  Gradin was as smooth as they come.  Boudrias was my favourite before him.  Keon before him.  (You know we could have drafted Daryl Sitler!

  2. Thinking about picking this up. On sale on the Xbox Game store. I played alot of 18. Is 19 worth it?
  3. I wonder how many players consider that before being moved.
  4. I had a dream last night that the Canucks drafted 12th and the Avs 1st.

      that'd be fine

      we got brock at 23rd

      ep40 at 5th

so still a good chance to get an elite type player

      it's all good

      sleep well

      enjoy your dreams

and there is always hope the avs will draft like the coilers

and ruin their 1st overall pick

Wouldn't it be nice for the Canucks to FINALLY get our first

      1OA DRAFT PICK!

      Our first in fifty years.

Benning will get us something good regardless.

  5. Boy, this place descends in to chaos at the the drop of a hat. I had to step away for a bit.

I'm definitely not one to talk. I was pretty livid when the takedown happened.

All sense and logic seem to disappear around here whenever it happens. That's why whenever something like this happens, I'll do this on CDC for a few hours:

  6. You could say drafting Madden was a WISE choice.
  7. 10th in scoring for the WHL. What's more, Woo has played less games, and 5 of the players ahead of him are 19/20. Woo is still 18.
  8. Merry Christmas, CDC.

best of days, qwagger. don't over do the eggnog.

  9. What a name. Dish us a pass, you're the Saucerman. Dish us a pass tonight. Because we're all in the mood for a breakaway. And your zone exits have been great all night.
  10. Should probably help DiPietro's development as well.
  11. 2018 is either going to be a very deep draft, or we'll be looking back 5 years from now wondering how he fell to 7th.
  12. Maybe his back? He's coming off a very extensive surgery.
  13. He's playing out of his element right now. If he was merely playing as a 5th or 6th D-man, we wouldn't be nearly as harsh. That being said, I don't understand why he's on the 1st unit PP.
  14. Quick reminder that we still got Hughes, Juolevi, Dahlen and Demko developing.

AND Gaudette has yet to break out :) oh and Lind.

Madden and Rathbone are also having a great start to their season!

then there are those depth guys like MacEwen, Brisebois, Jasek, Gadjovich, Palmu.

we're already set in GK imo unless something goes horribly wrong with their development.

JB is building a cup contender :D

    3. Brad Marchand

      Brad Marchand

Something to remember is that there will always be prospects who don't make the cut as NHLers.

The good thing here is that the Canucks have finally amassed enough depth that they're not relying on every prospect in the system to make it in order to fill spots in the lineup.

We are doing well in this small sample, but theres a very good chance we fall off a bit in the rest of the season. We are still in a rebuild so we should be trading vets, accumulating draft picks and acquiring more skilled young talent. Use this year as a transition in which we draft top ten and hopefully accumulate at least one more first or a couple seconds.

Im stoked for the future led by Pettersson, Horvat, Boeser, Juolevi, Hughes and Demko but we need a few more high quality pieces if we want to contend for a cup.

  15. Wonder what the skills coach learned today?
  16. From what I can tell of his offensive game, he generates around 5-7 scoring chances a game, but no one can finish them.
  17. So, does Brassard just shoot the puck whenever he gets the chance? I've never seen a D-man with such a consistently high amount of shots.
