Ya just thinking/dreaming out loud about the drop... but everything maybe JB trades down a few spots adds another 2nd rounder if he really likes Seider.
-
Patience young grasshopper. We will get Lafrenier next year 1st overall after we finally strike draft lottery gold.
-
Ya thread is at 307 pages. Conversation topic is a bit fluid now. Not strictly only about which player to draft.. My bad. Didn't mean to cause confusion. Who would you take 10th overall with our 1st pick. I wouldn't be surprised if JB trades down a few spots and takes Seider. Or trade up a few spots from 2nd (43rd )to take him late 1st round. Maybe JB stands pat Seider falls to us in 2nd with 43rd. RHD with size.
-
Top 10 pick doesn't help next year either. He'll take 3 to 5 years to be a difference maker in NHL. Myers Simmonds Lee Hayes just some UFA with size available. He also needs to explore trades to add physicality.. If he can add 2 players this summer it would be great. Then add cpl more next year. I'm draft always take BPA. Can always trade later to fill out roster..
-
Tram we'll know next summer if he wants to return after his KHL contract expires. He's not mean. He's a jolly giant but his size helps. Would be great if he returns Korczac would be 5 years of development before he's a difference maker if all things go right.. Need size and truculence sooner..
-
Not gonna pretend to know a whole lot about these kids. After Hughes and Kakko i don't know enough to be able to make a projection. But I hope we add some size and meanness and nastiness even a bit dirty to this roster.. Desperately need it.
-
We desperately need to add size. Especially on D.. Big D is the way to go. We have Hughes as the small skilled play driver. Now time to add some beef.
-
Fixed.

A guy like Trouba. If he agrees to an extension. Jets need a C though. Not a winger. Tyson Barrie from COL. Ristolinen BUF Pullock NYI But we aren't in a position to trade players like Boeser. We're already in need of 2 more top 6 forwards. For the next couple of years you just try to sign a Panarin or EK (unlikely) and keep drafting and developing... I see JB going after the likes of Lee, Eberle or Johansson and Gardiner, Myers, Edler. Make trades using other players but not the top 4 young studs. But our other players don't have much value and some have negative value. EP Boeser Horvat Hughes don't get traded. They stay and you continue to build with them

[Rumor] Panarin Interested in Vancouver
WHL rocks replied to SuitnTie's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I don't care if they play him on defense. Lol Just sign him and see where he fits best with EP or Horvat. I think EP needs a energy player, puck digger who can work the boards and provide physical play. And Horvat needs a skilled winger, play maker who can pass the puck. I'm sure he'd get double shifted when needed and he'd get 1st unit PP with EP and Boeser. -
[Rumor] Panarin Interested in Vancouver

He would be awesome with Horvat and Pearsson.. that line is desperate for a skilled player to complete it.. Skinner got 9 mill 8 yrs. He's no where near the player. If JB can get Panarin for a sign and trade 10 mill 8 years he should do it. Give up next year's 2nd rounder to CBJ 11 mill 7 years otherwise. I'd do that in a new York second.. Panarin is a special player. And with his style of play and his build he'll be good for entire contract. Obviously come down a bit towards last year or two but it won't be a albatross contract like Skinners is likely to be after half way thru. -
Terry Pegula owns the sabres and NFL Bills. He's not afraid to spend money. Follows the team closely and wants to win a Cup. He'll spend to Cap max when needed. He's said and shown that he will spend money.. Obviously a small market but they're gonna try to win a Cup.. when Dahlin fully develops they'll be scary good.

[Report] Ivan Barbashev suspended 1 game
WHL rocks replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
Not at all like Rome hit. Completely different hit. Also Johansson didn't miss a shift. Rome missed rest of SCF after game 3 AND it effectively ended his career. Horton suffered a sevear concussion. He was only 26yrs old and never the same and retired soon after.. IMO Rome could have got more for than 4 games for that hit. He got 5 min major and game. Plus 4 games. -

Really? Tell us Alf which US sports radio stations do you listen to. I listened to WBZ yesterday before the game and today. Maybe I always listen to secret radio stations from Russia pretending to be in US. It's Putin messing with hockey. They even had St Louis Blues radio announcer on for live interview. How does Putin do all this. Makes it seem real. Like really real. -

Reffs were right not to blow the play dead especially when it was such obvious soccer style bycycle kick by Acciari in his d zone. It would have taken away a scoring chance. Reffs can call 20 or 30 penalties a game if they called everything. -

Get your logic out of here. This is CDC. This type of behaviour doesn't belong here and will not be tolerated. conspiracy conspiracy conspiracy I'm listening to Bruins radio and Boston fans and radio hosts are not complaining about the refs.. surprisingly refreshing No victim card. -
WOW!! Listening to Bruins radio. They are criticizing Bruins coach Cassidy and even Cam Nealy for blaming refs.. Saying there is no conspiracy here and if anything NHL would want Bruins to win and there is no way NHL wants Blues to win as it's smaller market vs original 6 Boston team. Pleasantly surprised they are not playing the victim card. I like it.. refreshing attitude rather than all the whinning and complaining on cdc that goes on every time Canucks play. And some Bruins supporters complaining about refs on here everytime a Bruin got touched..
-
Same kind of shenanigans some Canuck players were doing in SCF. Diving embellishing etc. The whole hockey world outside of Vancouver turned against the Canucks because of that. NHL can't turn into a PP vs PK league. Refs could call 20 penalties a game. Every thing isn't black and white in hockey. Good non call. Ref could have called them both but it's better they didn't stop play because of embellishment by a player in his D zone negating a scoring chance. Refs made the right and best decision.

He's a rookie according to the rules. He should/would be rookie of the year if votes were take after the play offs. Even though the award is for regular season play.. EP will win it but he had a big drop off in play towards the end whilst Binington got better and better. Having said that i highly doubt he cares at all. There is only one trophy he wants and that's the Cup.. Maybe he gets the Conn Smythe to go along with Cup. I bet he prefers that over the Calder.

Sens, Sharks Karlsson Deal..Who Won?
WHL rocks replied to Nuxfanabroad's topic in General Hockey Discussion
He would have signed by now if he was going to. There is absolutely no point walking around without signing. He could trip and fall break a leg there goes 70 or 80 mill. Of course no one besides EK knows for sure but safe to assume he doesn't want to stay in SJS He played injured in playoffs. Why do that if he wanted to stay. Risked 10s of millions every time he got on ice. Reports that his wife misses OTT as she grew up there are out there as well. Maybe he goes MTL. Sjs seems less and less likely.
