    Anybody listening to the broadcast of the Vancouver Giants game? The Keeper of the (Stanley) Cup is being interviewed and he said that the Vancouver Millionaires engraved their names inside the bowl when they won in 1915. That means that unlike the people whose names are engraved on the side (because the body segments of the Cup are replaced every so often) the Millionaires names will always be on the Cup.

      Obviously they knew that Van wouldn't be seeing the cup for ages after that, so they engraved a permanent reminder.
