The non-call on the trip was fine, upon closer review. But that crosscheck in the numbers on the board. That should've been called. 100 percent. EASY &^@#ING call. The hook afterward was also a penalty. So if you're gonna call legit penalties like the hook, then CALL THE CROSSCHECK. Right in the &^@#ing numbers.

He's definitely elevated his game to another level. You could see it coming in the playoffs last year but it didn't quite click.... it's clicking now. Rocket Richard.... who knows.

I don't think Calder eligibility would be affected as that is based on what has already happened ie games already played.

I could see this season being prorated to adjust to compensate for the number of games going forward but I also don't feel the 26 game difference merits it.

It probably would be, but I'm betting we're getting a shortened season. I'm hoping for like 60 games, but my gut is feeling a 48-game season.

I still think a half season against western teams like the 2013 season  is the likely scenario. 

@Pears I don't see the western teams concept working this time as it means lots of crossing the border.  The Jays plan to play in Toronto with American teams coming and going was shot down by the Feds.

if you are still employed, you could just ask for a re-issue. but yes, the machine avoids the hassle that the teller at your bank will give you for a stale cheque.

I think it’s a YMMV situation.  OT.....even if you put a stop payment on a cheque, there’s a chance (however small) that it’ll clear.  At least I think so in this province.

I think Benning will still acquire draft picks but probably 2nd to mid-round.

@Tystick Funny you say that because I've heard that 2020 is a strong draft on Reddit. Personally, I think that every draft is pretty much the same outside of the strength of the top 3-5 ranked players. Its only several years down the line that a draft should be called strong (like 2003 or maybe 2015). Calling a draft strong pre-draft is overhyping it. 

It's funny, the last few drafts have all be touted as being "the strongest draft class of the year". I feel like 2012 had a lot of hype behind it and it turned out to be a pretty weak draft class. I gotta believe that Benning feels 2021 may be better than 2020. If there's one thing he and Brackett are great at, it's drafts and drafting. I still don't doubt the Canucks can find a gem in the late rounds like they've done in years past. Not gonna write this off yet. Madden was a 3rd rounder that just netted us Toffoli. And I remember guys like JD Burke ripping the Canucks for not picking Jake Wise who has been average at the NCAA level... gotta trust the process.
