    So the duo Lady Antebellum changed their name to Lady A out of respect for the racially sensitive nature of the antebellum period, which was when slavery was deeply ingrained in Southern culture.

    THEN, the duo turns around and sues a black blues performer named Anita White who has performed under the name Lady A. The duo wants the legal rights to the name and are willing to sue the lady to get the name. So.....black lives don't matter?

    This is very stupid indeed but I saw a video where OTT will trade their 5th overall for a 1st line player. Would anyone here do JT Miller for 5th overall. I know this will NEVER happen but just outta curiosity.

      I wouldn't do Miller, but I would do Boeser. 

      Miller's ability to be the centre of a line (take face offs, etc) is valuable and he really drives play. Great value contract, etc.

       

      Plus, most of our high profile forward prospects are wingers (Pod, Hog, Lind)

    Draft Lotto Idea: 3 yr cycle

     

    -top-5 pick(team wins again) move 1 slot back

    -top-3 pick(repeated) move 2 slots back

     

    Back to normal 2 drafts after you've won a top-3 or 5 pick(reset).

    Basically an additional rule to prevent teams from repeated draft lotto-success.

    Is it just me but would anyone like to see a Canucks vs Avs in the playoffs... it would test us the best and if we lose its okay. 

     

    Avs are going to be the future powerhouse in the west for a long time and we will need to get past them to win the cup one day

      The top 4 teams are proposed to play a best of 3 (regular season OT rules) robin robin type tournament to play for seeding

    Is it just me but would anyone like to see a Canucks vs Avs in the playoffs... it would test us the best and if we lose its okay.

      Only if the Calder voting is already done. I know usually the voting is done after the regular season and before the playoffs.

      Bettman just confirmed that the regular season is done. That should mean that award voting is happening in the next month.

      2021 pick is unprotected. We've seen how dangerous that is with SJ/OTT. It's in our best interest to win and give the pick.

      I also don't think Benning has a choice. It's either we made the playoffs = give or we missed the playoffs = keep

      It depends on if the play in round is considered 'play-offs' or if its just a non-regular season non-play-off set of games. Almost like a pre-season to the playoffs

    Looking at the trade thread on that other site, their Neg Nellies apparently want it portrayed as such.

    The mental gymnastics they perform to downgrade JB's absolute larceny, is both astounding & ludicrous.

     

    Over there, it seems there is ZERO appreciation for what I felt was a pretty entertaining season from our guys.

Alex Biladeau first Gold on home soil. the Canadian women's soccer team bronze medal (2012 olympics?), Maybe some tennis (Bianca Andreescu wins US Open 2019, Milos Raonic first Canadian Men Singles player in a Grand Slam Final Wimbledon 2016, and Team Canada makes the 2019 Davis Cup Finals)
