  1. Like the blown call the linesman made on Pettersson the last time these teams met? That call completely changed the momentum of that game.
  2. Just might have been the piss poor goaltending that he inherited as coach ?
  3. I don't think he ever really had the drive/desire to be an NHL player. Or learn to speak English, or embrace any NA culture. Not all Russians are like Pod,Kuz or Goldoblin. I think the current state of Russia has forced him to re-think what he passed over. I'm sure it's not lost on him that his country is becoming a pariah state. Too late though, IMO.On an NHL comeback ,I think he'd get lit up.

  5. I've never seen a player so disinterested in playing in his own end than Cody Hodgson.Guy was literally allergic to back checking. Not surprised why almost every NHL coach he had, couldn't stand him.
  6. I never followed the late great Jeff Beck very much, but boy this is good.
  7. Paying customers should be given a refund for that game. pathetic.
  8. I dont think its a question of lack of talent though (which you mentioned). We've both seen talentless Canuck teams. This isnt one of them. I just think the goaltending ,which we banked on, has let the whole season down.
  9. I've had the Canucks pegged a playoff bubble team since the start of the season.Thats nothing spectacular. If not for the some of the worst Canuck goaltending we've seen in decades, the Canucks would currently be a playoff team. The recent home games against Washington and Florida were basically no shows (you're not going to win them all).I think that any team would have beaten the Canucks in those games. The teams that have significantly owned them have been NJD, and CAR
  10. Being a one dimensional player will put you on a short leash with any coach in the league. The game is played at both ends of the ice.
  11. Like you? Myers was awful the season prior, but had a good season last year. There is no doubt that he is struggling this season. OEL-Myers were a good combo last season.(Myers has never been a +15 in his career). 2021-22 Vancouver Canucks NHL 82 1 17 18 66 15 -- -- -- -- -
  12. They're going to be out of the playoff picture fairly quick. From now till April. The tickets will be cheap, because the building will be around 60% capacity. Nothing like being out of the playoffs by mid November for the 3rd consecutive year. Time to do other things with your time folks. This could take many years to get right.
  13. Myers had one of his best seasons last year. He's had a terrible year to date.
  14. Pivotal game here. if they don’t win tonight, you can pretty much stick a fork in the whole season. They’re not winning tomorrow.
  15. I always circle the games in Montreal and Toronto when the schedule comes out. They didn’t show up and embarrassed themselves in Montreal ,and only played one period in Ottawa. On what grounds, and indication are they going to bring it tonight? I don’t see it.
  16. Spencer Martin did not look sharp on a number of goals, probably one of his worst games , even though we got the win. Fortunately, we had enough firepower to outscore them. Both Canuck goalies are going to have to be better.
  17. Is this just a celebration of his time as a Canuck, or is his name going to be in the ROH.?
  18. There is zero guarantee Forsling would have turned into the player he is now if he had stayed with the Canucks. He spent a good part of 5-6 years floundering in the minors. Chatfield was awful here, good on him for getting a 3rd pairing spot on the Canes.
  19. injured or maintenance day, not scratched. Being scratched doesnt mean your scratched from practice.
