  1. Something tells me that this is going to be a lot tougher game than against the stiffs we've been playing lately (and barely held our own)...Maybe the fact that Torts used to coach TB might inspire the Canucks...
  2. Burrows is starting to look dangerous again..the hesitation has gone out of his game...Also,good to see Jensen progressing..I admit it..I thought he was going to be a bust (his previous call up exhibited absolutely ..not even a hint)..but good on him..looking good.
  3. Last game somebody made a good analogy of him..'Booth plays like a horse with blinders on"
  4. If he's out for a significant period, you can almost garuntee a high draft pick
  5. Hopefully it's just a bruise..if it was his knee..he wouldn't have got up
  6. It kind of reminds me of a diagram of Pavel Bure doing his wind up before he bee-lined to the net...
  7. Boy,I hope they win..but it's a team with no confidence right now..Can they fight back from a deficit?..Can they hold a lead?
  8. Yeah..He's having a tough night..especially on the PP
  9. Haha..but we have Jensen now..the anti-tank..!
  10. I'm not predicting the score, but I am making a bold prediction that Alex Burrows will score tonight……Looking forward to seeing Nick Jensen play.
  11. Burrows was severely underpaid for several years....The Sedins are Art Ross/Hart trophy winners..How much should they be paid ?..They are getting market value for their services.,comparative to other players in the league.....Even though, all three hav gone down th toilet his year.
  12. That...more than any player moves, could be Gillis' biggest mistake....
  13. Wrong...This whole Aqualini interfering fiasco was started by the Pittsburgh media,it didn't happen....The organization as a whole turned down the deal (Sutter,1st,3rd....obviously) ...there was no debate on that......The rest of your post is one dimensional Gillis hate, there's lots of rebuttals elsewhere on this forum for that.
  14. I think it was Anaheims 1st,2nd,3rd.......no thanks
  15. According to Botchford...they offered picks..no players.
  16. I believe it was Sutter,a 1st,and. 3rd.......That's kind of an insult ...It's a good thing that were not desperate to trade Kesler, although having him festering in the room next season would be a really bad idea.....Kesler is not doing the Canucks any favors by only having 3-4 teams that he will play on...This season has been a disaster.
  17. I honestly cannot see Gillis accepting that deal..the perameters were made quite clear what the Canucks were after
  18. At the time of the Luongo signing it was considered a good contract..and legal by NHL rules..Then the league decided to move the goalposts around and change the rules..Blame the NHL ..not Aqualini. Anyway ..the player and contract are gone..time to move on
  19. I'm sure Aqualini has been around long enough to know that short term greed won't beat long term success..He hired Gillis (I believe MG still has 4 years to go on his contract).
  20. It basically gives no credibility to the Aqualini kybosh ing MG deal...I think the Pens deal was rejected outright by the entire organization..If Aqualini really wanted to make the playoffs,we would have obviously been buyers...
