      Not as crazy as you might think since this the only conceivable way to get rid of Luongo. New Jersey gets a goalie that can be their starter(Brodeur is almost done) plus Luongo gets to play in a defensive system so his numbers should be better.

      Canucks get Kovalchuk 40 goal scorer to play in top six who does not fit well in New Jersey and would do better on a more offensive minded team like the Canucks.
