Pete Caroll alaways says that you win games only in the 4th quarter. Seahawks are a great second half team and won't just quit and mail it in.

Packers game yesterday with Arizona was amazing. This game too is amazing. Crazy thing is I heard a handful of people predict Seattle might not be ready for a buzzsaw at 10am Pacific time. Seattle wearing the wrong pants don't match Jersey!!! Sleepless in Seattle?
-
Sooo excited for Seattle vs Carolina best game of the week imo will be a physical smashmouth game with tons of trash talk similar to 49ers vs Seahawks a few years ago with the Sherman infamous Sorry ass Crabtree rant after the game Would be amazing if Carolina wins and Josh Norman says no disrespect to Sherman but I'm the best in the league!!! Lol. NFC should not be affected by weather conditions so no excuses for those games to not be highly competitive and entertaining. As for the AFC Denver and New England could both have weather be a slight factor again come game day.

What I learned this weekend: 1. Playoff experience and a good qb matters and defense is still very important to win. 2. Mother nature makes games very low scoring and unpredictable. 3. All good teams who eventually make it to the championship need a little good fortune when not much separates teams talent wise in the modern NFL.

Wow expected KC to win but not that easily. Also I thought the Bengals had this game but it took Big Ben getting hurt for them to get going. Denver and New England likely matchup on Championship weekend would only befitting one last Manning vs Brady. Full day of football tomorrow hoping for a little higher scoring and more competive games tomorrow. Can't wait!

The Chip Kelly system is qb friendly for guys like Kaeperknick who struggle in a pro style offense. In Kellys system the field is split in half and the reads are simplified since most plays are predetermined. Kap is still a great athelete and he has regressed but his throwing mechanics were never great to begin with. He needs to get back to shotgun simple reads read option style play where he can rollout to throw on the move or takeoff and run like he gashed Green Bay and Seattle in the playoffs 3 years ago.

Smart move. Even without Lynch if the Vikings somehow pull it out it will be a HUGE upset probably the biggest in quite a few years.
-
I wonder that too. Big News on Marshawn Lynch.. he is officially designated as OUT for the Vikings game. Rumor he tweaked something playing basketball after practice and didn't want to make it worse by playing in the frigid temperatures on Sunday in what could be the modern version of the infamous Ice Bowl game. Christine Michael did a pretty good "BEAST MODE" impersonation against the Arizona d last week so I think Seattle will be fine. This is not a big deal unless Seattle somehow loses and it is because they failed to establish any balance between run and pass and Russel Wilson had to throw the ball 40 times or something crazy.

Apparently Eagles have competition for the top candidate Adam Gase because the Dolphins are trying to woo him over before he gets back for a second interview some time this next week. I wonder if Gase got hired with the Eagles if he could lure Alshon Jeffrey away from the Bears and Brock Osweiler to come in and be his qb since he helped develop him in Denver. If the Eagles got Jeffrey and Osweiller I would be really excitied but I just don't think they have the cap space to be spending big dollars again after handing out boneheaded contracts to Demarco Murray and Byron Maxwell last year.

No its a conflicting report. Gruden likes his cushy Monday Night gig. They pay him pretty good and he is a decent commentator when not talking about spider 2 wide banana.
-
DeAngelo Williams is out and he had a big role. Steelers offense is better this year but still they need balance. Without Bell last year the Ravens beat them and I expect the Bengals to finally get a playoff win.

He got a raw deal from the Chargers hearing they might bring back the Whiz. The injuries really piled up this year. I have a feeling though if Bradford stays no matter the new head coach he seems to really like Pat Shurmur and wants to stay in the same system to see how much he can improve next year. All that however depends on how much money and term he wants. Hard contract to figure out with his lengthy injury history. If anyone can fix Colin Kaeperknick again it is Chip Kelly. If he can't get his hands on Mariota I have a strong feeling the 49ers give him a chance to work with Kaepernick if he can convince them he has learned from the Philly experience and is more adaptable.
-
Chip Kelly suitor or do they go after Gase or promote OC? This is huge. He is a fantastic D coordinator with a wealth of HC experience would be a tremendous hire for anybody looking for a DC. If I am the Eagles hire Frank Reich as OC with Gase as HC and try to convince Lovie Smith to coach the Eagles D. That would be an outstanding staff on paper. Alas a poor pipe dream...

Are you a Vikings fan? There is more than a good chance Carolina is one and done considering they are the #1 seed and would have to face Seattle next week. Only way Vikings whoop Seattle is if Russel Wilson got injured which is almost impossible considering how smart, mobile, and aware he is plus his frame is the perfect compact bulid like a running back so he knows how to take hits, that is if he even gets hit hard in the first place.

Did you guys hear the Browns hired some baseball geek who was the inspiration for Jonah hill Mineyball analytics guy character to be one of their main personnel evaluators. I'll never understand why teams like the Browns and Eagles hire bean counters and pencil pushers to make major personnel experience with no background playing the game at any level. Hire football people from winning organizations. It's not that hard really. Why can't they make obvious moves that the media and average fans know should be made and moves that are likely to fail? Has to be an ego thing to prove that you are going against the grain just to be innovative.

Patriots/Bengals/Broncos in the AFC deserve to rep the AFC in the Super Bowl. Panthers/Cardinals/Seahawks deserve to rep the NFC in the Super Bowl. Especially Seattle who has to run the table on the road they will deserve it. The other 6 teams not mentioned in the tournament are just pretenders.

Eagles have a desperate need for D coordinator who runs a 4-3 aggressive D. Forget the HC. The coach is only as good as his talent and staff around him let him be. You can quote me on this.. if Eagles stay healthy and retain their pieces on D they can easily be a top 10 legit d with Jim Schwartz as D coordinator running a 4-3 to suit the D and an offense that is less no huddle and more running and ball control that changes speeds to keep the D fresh. Also Ken Wisenhunt might suck as a head coach but he is an amazing OC who always has top 10 offenses. Hard to find good head coaches but even harder to find guys who are great coordinators with a proven track record of success.

Speaking of Saban if Alabama wins next week does he follow the Pete Carroll model and go to the NFL again? He is easily the best coach in college ball the last half decade or so. Seems most deserving of all college coaches to get a big time NFL gig. The NFL guys are just either retreads or unknown assistants. Not many seemingly hot candidates this year.

Ha-ha. Happy New Years!!!! Guys. That's what I get supporting underdog/losers/dysfunctional franchises with long histories of losing or no championships. Don't know how Cleveland fans do it. Only way to be happy is to have extremely low expectations I guess. Just gonna watch for entertainment now on. Wins and losses are too painful.

The Eagles might be the most dysfunctional organization in the league right now. The owner is a hack who has blind faith in some college guy named Howie Roseman to be the GM who started as an intern 15 years ago. Everybody gets fired except Roseman the last 15 years. He had a power struggle with Chip and lost. Now he got the power back. Eagles are fucced until the idiot owner wakes up hires the right people with NFL experience and then stays out of the way. The Eagles are still screwed for people that follow this team could do a better job than that slimy weasel Howie Roseman.
-
I guess but both guys could want a bigger role. Does Marvin Jones maybe want to escape AJ Greens shadow for more money elsewhere or a #1 wr role?
-
Most likely to not leave Hue Jackson Marvin Jones or Mohammed Sanu? I want Marvin Jones. You guys can Re-sign Sanu and draft a big wr or a fast guy like Corey Coleman.
-
I really don't have confidence the Eagles will make the right moves in hiring the right people to begin cutting guys and the draft and free agency. Lurie is too hands on and trusts that coackroach weasel Howie Roseman to hire the new coach wihile getting the power to make all the major personnel decissions again. Brsdford back on a 2 year bridge deoutside (Mike Wallace) al the top end qbs and skill positions on offense decent draft on corners/safeties and o and D lineman. Short term keeping Bradford is probably the best option. Beef up the o-line in the draft and add depth on the corners and draft an athletic qb mid rounds to develop or sign Kaeperknick /Rg3 to push injury prone Bradford as Bradford Convert to a 4-3 defense. Re-sign Cox and Curry. Sign Marvin Jones or Mohammed Sanu whichever the Bengals don't keep better than any other Eagles current wrs. Keep Demarco and Matthews adjust the scheme for fuc sakes!!! Add a proven deep threat wr on the outside to open up things for Ertz,Sproles, and Matthews over the mkddle. Hire a real GM from the Seattle,Pittsburgh, or Green Bay front office organizations that know how to build teams properly through the draft not making risky trades or overpaying mediocre free agents. Cut Cooper,Celek,Sannicez unless they wanna stay and play for peanuts. Move Jason Peters to Left guard to shore up the oline. Lane Johnson moves to LT. Eagles then draft a big tackle and a bull dozing guard. Also a corner/safety who likes to hit hard would be nice to get in the draft either Clemson or duke or west Virginia's Safety. Happy New Year Sportsx. fans@"!$#%
